Abstract

ABSTRACT Social media is not just a medium for finding and uploading information, but also a place for actualization for its users. Therefore, the formation of personal branding is very much needed on social media platforms, especially for Novia Nur Ismi who is a beauty influencer on social media. This study aims to determine Novia Nur Ismi's personal branding on social media, how Novia shows her image as an influencer This research is a qualitative approach with a constructivist paradigm with a case study research method, the results of which will be in the form of descriptive text or writing. The research data collection is through in-depth interviews with Novia Nur Ismi and several informants who are followers of Novia on Instagram. In this study also uses the theory of Peter Montoya's 8 personal branding concepts as a research reference. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that in Novia's personal brand on social media, from 8 Peter Montoya's personal branding concepts. There are at least 4 concepts that Novia does on her social media, namely the concept of specialization where Novia has the ability and strength in her public speaking, then the concept of personality where she is known as a confident and friendly person on her social media, then the concept is seen where Novia consistently creates content that supports his personal brand as an acne fighter, and on the concept of a good name where Novia has positive influence and benefits to his followers. Kata Kunci: Personal branding, influencer, Instagram. Media sosial bukan hanya sekedar media untuk mencari dan mengunggah informasi, tetapi juga menjadi tempat untuk melakukan aktualisasi bagi penggunanya. Oleh sebab itu, pembentukan personal branding sangat dibutuhkan pada platform media sosial, terutama bagi Novia Nur Ismi yang merupakan seorang beauty influencer di media sosial. Penelitian in bertujuan untuk mengetahui personal branding Novia Nur Ismi di media sosial, bagaimana Novia menunjukan citra dirinya sebagai influencer. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pendekatan kualitatif dengan paragdigma konstruktivis dengan metode penelitian studi kasus, yang hasilnya nanti berupa teks atau tulisan secara deskriptif. Adapun pengumpulan data penelitian ini ialah melalui wawancara mendalam dengan Novia Nur Ismi dan beberapa informan yang merupakan followers Novia di Instagram.Pada penelitian ini juga menggunakan teori 8 konsep personal branding Peter Montoya sebagai acuan penelitian Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam personal brandNovia di media sosial, dari 8 konsep personal brandingPeter Montoya. Setidaknya ada 4 konsep yang Novia lakukan di media sosialnya, yaitu pada konsep spesialisasi dimana Novia memiliki kemampuan dan kekuatan pada public speaking-nya, lalu konsep kepribadian dimana ia dikenal sebagai sosok yang percaya diri dan ramah di media sosialnya, lalu pada konsep terlihat dimana Novia secara konsisten membuat konten yang mendukung personal brand-nya sebagai acne fighter, dan pada konsep nama baik dimana Novia memiliki pengaruh dan manfaat yang positif kepada followers-nya.
