Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between Alexithymia and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in survivors of sexual violence. Respondents of this study were 50 individual survivors of sexual violence with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. This research instrument uses a measuring instrument with a total of 20 items for Alexithymia with (Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20) by Bagby, Parker, Taylor (1993) and then adapted into Indonesian by Widjayakusuma (2002) with Cronbach's Alpha 0.819 and 17 items. for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) with The PTSD Checklist - Civilian Version (PCL-C) by Weathers, Litz, Huska, and Keane (1993) with Cronbach's Alpha 0.891. Analysis of this data using categorization, average (mean) and Pearson Correlation Technique The results of this study indicate a positive relationship between Alexithymia and PostTraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in survivors of sexual violence (r = 0.4794; p = 0.000). Keywords: Alexithymia, PTSD Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara Alexithymia dengan Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) pada Penyintas Kekerasan Seksual. Responden penelitian ini sebanyak 50 individu penyintas kekerasan seksual dengan Gangguan stress pasca trauma. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur dengan total 20 aitem untuk Alexithymia dengan Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20) oleh Bagby, Parker, Taylor (1993) dan kemudian di adaptasikan kedalam Bahasa Indonesia oleh Widjayakusuma (2002) dengan Cronbach’s Alpha 0,819 dan 17 aitem untuk Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) dengan The PTSD Checklist – Civilian Version (PCL-C) oleh Weathers, Litz, Huska, dan Keane (1993) dengan Cronbach’s Alpha 0,891. Analisis data ini menggunakan kategorisasi, rata-rata (mean) dan Teknik Korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang positif antara Alexithymia dengan Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) pada Penyintas Kekerasan Seksual (r = 0,479; p = 0,000).
