Abstract

The government program to overcome congestion continues to be initiated by planning the implementation of a Yellow Box Junction marking or yellow box at the intersection. With the Yellow Box Junction marking, it is expected that the density at the intersection is not locked. The existence of this YBJ even though the traffic light is green, road users who have not entered YBJ must stop when there are other vehicles inside the YBJ. They can only advance when the vehicles inside the YBJ have left. In actual conditions in the field there are still frequent violations of the Yellow Box Junction markers so that congestion still occurs and the implementation of the Yellow Box Junction markers is deemed ineffective. Data collected as research material will be taken from primary data which includes volume surveys, site traffic, questionnaire surveys, and secondary data which includes assumptions and theories from literatures. Based on data analysis and field surveys, it is concluded that the application of the Yellow Box Junction marking at the junction of Jl. K.H. Hasyim Ashari and the intersection of Jl. Alam Sutera Boulevard is ineffective and does not function as it should be, the factors that cause this are unclear regulations, indecisive sanctions for violators, and lack of socialization to the community. Program pemerintah untuk mengatasi kemacetan terus digagas dengan direncanakan penerapan marka Yellow Box Junction atau kotak kuning pada persimpangan. Dengan marka Yellow Box Junction, diharapkan kepadatan di persimpangan tidak terkunci. Adanya YBJ ini walaupun lampu traffic light sudah hijau pengguna jalan yang belum masuk YBJ harus berhenti ketika ada kendaraan lain di dalam YBJ. Mereka baru bisa maju jika kendaraan di dalam YBJ sudah keluar. Dalam kondisi aktual dilapangan masih sering terjadi pelanggaran marka Yellow Box Junction sehingga kemacetan masih terjadi dan penerapan marka Yellow Box Junction dianggap belum efektif. Data data yang dikumpulkan sebaga bahan penelitian akan di ambil dari Data Primer yang meliputi survei volume, lalin pada lokasi, survei kusioner, dan Data Sekunder yang meliputi Asumsi dan teori-teori dari literratur. Berdasarkan analisa data dan survei lapangan, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penerapan marka Yellow Box Junction pada persimpangan Jl. K.H. Hasyim Ashari dan persimpangan Jl. Alam Sutera Boulevard tidak efektif dan tidak berfungsi sebagaiman mestinya, faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan hal tersebut aturan yang belum jelas, sangsi yang tidak tegas untuk pelanggar, dan sosialisasi yang kurang terhadap masyarakat.
