Abstract

Hand lettering merupakan bagian dari tipografi yang mendukung komposisi desain agar dapat menginformasikan suatu pesan agar pesan yang disampaikan dapat mudah diterima dengan baik melalui cara yang menarik di masyarakat. Alib Isa salah satu lettering artist di Indonesia yang berkarya melalui hand lettering dalam penyampaian desainnya. Perancangan ini dilakukan untuk memberikan informasi mengenai pembuatan hand lettering serta mengetahui bahwasanya hand lettering bisa memiliki nilai komersil value pada dunia desain. Perancangan ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, metode yang digunakan dalam pencarian data yaitu metode wawancara dan observasi. Kata kunci : Tipografi, Hand Lettering, Font, Buku, Alib Isa. Hand lettering is a part of typography that supports the composition of the design in order to inform a message so that the message conveyed can be easily received properly in a way that is interesting in the community. Alib Isa is a lettering artist in Indonesia who works through hand lettering in the delivery of his designs. This design is done to provide information about making hand lettering and to know that hand lettering can have a commercial value in the design world.
