Abstract

This study intends to find out the Description Of The Social Support Of Parents Who Have Children With Special Needs. This parental social support plays a role in protecting individuals from the negative impacts caused by stress. The number of subjects in this study consisted of 4 parents (2 complete parents, 2 single parents) obtained using purposive sampling. The research method in this study uses a qualitative method with a fenomology type. Therefore, the data collection technique used is by interview and observation. Significant other is also needed to see the validity of the data that has been obtained. The results obtained show that these two complete parents only experience difficulties in some ways, they have difficulty in providing social support for their parents but are not too problematic in caring for children, but for these two single parents they are quite difficult in caring for and provide social support from their parents to their children because they have to be the ones who can handle and provide all the directions for their children. However, from all these problems, these four subjects will still try to provide good parental social support to their children. Keywords: Parental Social Support, Complete Parents, Single Parents, Children with Special Needs Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengetahui Gambaran Dukungan Sosial Orang Tua Yang Memiliki Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus Dukungan sosial orang tua ini berperan untuk melindungi individu dari dampak negatif yang diakibatkan oleh stress. jumlah subjek pada penelitian ini terdiri dari 4 orang tua (2 orang tua lengkap, 2 orang tua tunggal) yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Metode penelitian didalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan tipe fenomologi. Oleh Karena itu teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah dengan cara wawancara dan observasi, Significant other juga dibutuhkan untuk melihat ke absahan suatu data yang sudah diperoleh. Hasil yang di dapatkan menunjukkan dari dua orang tua lengkap ini hanya mengalami kesulitan didalam beberapa hal saja mereka mengalami kesulitan didalam pemberian dukungan sosial orang tuanya tapi tidak begitu terlalu bermasalah didalam merawat anak, namun bagi ke dua orang tua tunggal ini mereka cukup kesulitan didalam merawat dan memberikan dukungan sosial orang tuanya ini kepada anaknya karena mereka harus sendiri yang bisa mengatasi dan memberikan semua arahan untuk anaknya. Namun dari semua permasalahan itu ke empat subjek ini mereka akan tetap berusaha memberikan suatu dukungan sosial orang tua yang baik kepada anak mereka.
