Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to determine the effect of profitability, company size, and business risk on the capital structure of food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2016 to 2020. The research population used are 30 companies and samples listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Data regression was used as the method to analyze the secondary data with Cammon Effect model, using EViews 12. The result of this thesis indicates that: profitability (ROA) has a significant positive effect on capital structure, while company size and business risk have a significant negative effect on it. Keywords: Profitability, Company Size, Business Risk, and Capital Structure. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh profitbalitas, ukuran perusahaan dan risiko bisnis terhadap struktur modal pada perusahaan Sub Sektor Makanan dan Minuman yang tercatat di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) periode 2016- 2020. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 30 perusahaan dan sampel yang tercatat di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder. Metode analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah Analisis regresi data panel dengan menggunakan software EViews 12. Model yang terpilih pada penelitian ini adalah model Cammon Effect. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: Profitabilitas (ROA) berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap Struktur Modal sedangkan Ukuran Perusahaan dan Risiko Bisnis berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap Struktur Modal. Kata Kunci : Profitabilitas, Ukuran Perusahaan, Risiko Bisnis, dan Struktur Modal.
