Abstract
Media internal dikatakan sebagai alat untuk memberikan informasi kepada khalayak mengenai aktivitas perusahaan publikasi dan diharapkan pesan dapat diterima dengan baik oleh khalayak, Praktek yang ditemui dilapangan terkait penggunaan media internal PT Indofood terkait pemenuhan informasi karyawan tidaklah berjalan dengan sebagaimana mestinya.Ada ketidaksesuaian antara teori dan praktek dilapangan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan pengaruh penggunaan Media Indofood sebagai media komunikasi internal terhadap pemenuhan informasi pada karyawan kantor pusat PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk. Teori Uses and Gratifications lebih menekankan pada pendekatan manusiawi dalam melihat media massa, teori ini memusatkan perhatian pada penggunaan (uses) media untuk mendapatkan kepuasan (gratifications) atas kebutuhan seseorang artinya khalayak dianggap aktif menggunakan media untuk memenuhi kebutuhannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data diperoleh menggunakan metode survei. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Karyawan Kantor Pusat PT Indofood Sukses Makmur sebanyak 376 karyawan. Teknik penarikan sampel yang digunakan Peneliti adalah Stratified Random Sampling dalam menentukan jumlah sampel yang akan digunakan, sampel yang didapatkan sebanyak 79 karyawan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan hipotesis bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara variabel Penggunaan Media Internal terhadap Pemenuhan Informasi karyawan Kantor Pusat PT Indofood Sukses Makmur sebesar 0,766 yang berarti bahwa hubungan antara kedua variabel bernilai kuat. Kata kunci : media internal, Media Indofood, komunikasi internal, teori uses and gratification, public relations Internal media is said to be a tool to provide information to the public regarding the activities of publishing companies and it is hoped that the message will be well received by the audience. The practice encountered in the field related to the use of PT Indofood's internal media regarding the fulfillment of employee information does not work as it should. There is a discrepancy between theory and practice in the field. The purpose of this study was to explain the effect of using Indofood Media as an internal communication medium on the fulfillment of information on employees of the head office of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk. Uses and Gratifications theory emphasizes more on a human approach in viewing mass media, this theory focuses on the use (uses) of media to get satisfaction (gratifications) for one's needs, meaning that audiences are considered active in using the media to meet their needs. This research uses descriptive method with quantitative approach. The data was obtained using a survey method. The population used in this research were employees of the Head Office of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur as many as 376 employees. The sampling technique used by the researcher is Stratified Random Sampling in determining the number of samples to be used, the sample obtained is 79 employees. The results showed the hypothesis that there was an influence between the variables of the Influence of the Use of Internal Media on the Fulfillment of Information at the Head Office of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur of 0.766, which means that the relationship between the two variables is strong.
