Abstract
ABSTRAK Solok merupakan Kota yang berada di Propinsi Sumatera Barat dan berbatasan langsung dengan beberapa nagari pada Kabupaten Solok serta Kota Padang, sehingga Kota Solok berada di lokasi yang strategis pada lintasan regional. Kawasan perbukitan yang berada di kota Solok mempengaruhi peluang pembudidayaan komoditas dan menjadikan sektor pertanian menjadi lapangan pekerjaan paling tinggi pada tahun 2016 di Kota Solok (Pemerintah Kota Solok, 2018). Sejalan dengan kemajuan-kemajuan yang dicapai di sektor industri, oleh karena itu penelitian ini betujuan menghasilkan desain pasar yang mewadahi berbagai sektor industri di Kota Solok sebagai pusat perdagangan hasil-hasil pertanian, perkebunan sehingga dapat terbentuk ekonomi kerakyatan yang tangguh. Hasil dari rancangan ini adalah berupa Pasar Tradisional Solok, Pasar Modern Solok (street market), dan Taman Kota Syekh Kukut yang berlandaskan nilai-nilai setempat dengan pendekatan Arsitektur Neo-Vernakular. Pasar Modern, Taman Kota, Arsitektur Neo-Vernakular ABSTRACT Solok is a city located in West Sumatra Province and directly adjacent to several villages in Solok Regency and Padang City, so that Solok City is in a strategic location on a regional route. The hilly area in the city of Solok affects the opportunities for cultivating commodities and makes the agricultural sector the highest employment in 2016 in the city of Solok (Solok City Government, 2018). In line with the progress made in the industrial sector, therefore this research aims to produce a market design that accommodates various industrial sectors in Solok City as a trading center for agricultural and plantation products so that a strong people's economy can be formed. The results of this design are the Solok Traditional Market, Solok Modern Market (street market), and Syekh Kukut City Park which are based on local values with a Neo-Vernacular Architecture approach.
