Abstract

ABSTRAK Komunikasi massa merupakan komunikasi yang ditujukan kepada khalayak luas atau masyarakat umum dengan sifat komunikasi yang heterogen. Media komunikasi yang termasuk komunikasi massa adalah televisi serta media film sebagai media massa. Film sebagai media komunikasi massa yang memiliki pengaruh besar kepada khalayak. Film menjadi salah satu sarana hiburan oleh masyarakat dalam menyampaikan suatu pesan. Biasanya dalam sebuah film yang di sajikan terdapat pesan dan informasi baik dalam informasi Pendidikan maupun etika dan moral yang berupa hal positif memiliki makna tersirat. Dalam pembuatan Film pendek “All I Want” Peran editor sangat penting dalam pembuatan film, karena seorang editor harus mampu membuat cerita tetap utuh, agar pesan yang di sampaikan dalam naskah tidak hilang. Seorang editor juga harus bisa memecahkan setiap kendala dan mencari solusi dengan berpikir kreatif, dan selalu berdiskusi dengan anggota kelompok/kru film yang lain, agar tercapai solusi yang tepat. Penulis akan menggunakan teknik continuity editing yang akan digunakan pada saat proses editing. Film ini menggunakan bantuan software editing video pada penyempurnaanya, hal ini juga akan mempermudah penulis dalam menyempurnakan Tugas Akhir Aplikatif. Berdasarkan karya dan proses pembuatan tugas akhir aplikatif produksi film pendek yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa: Pada saat proses pembuatan drama film pendek “All I Want”, penulis sebagai editor telah melewati beberapa proses mulai dari pra produksi, produksi, dan pasca produksi. Bagaimana editor mengembangkan konsep editing dan menambah wawasan penulis terhadap ilmu editing. Kata kunci : Komunikasi Massa, Film Pendek, Konsep Editing, Editor ABSTRACT Mass communication is communication addressed to a wide audience or the general public with a heterogeneous nature of communication. Communication media which includes mass communication are television and film media as mass media. Film as a medium of mass communication that has a great influence on the audience. Film is one of the means of entertainment by the public in conveying a message. Usually in a film that is presented there are messages and information both in educational information and ethics and morals in the form of positive things that have an implied meaning. In making the short film "All I Want" the role of the editor is very important in making the film, because an editor must be able to keep the story intact, so that the message conveyed in the script is not lost. An editor must also be able to solve every obstacle and find solutions by thinking creatively, and always discussing with other members of the group/film crew, in order to reach the right solution. The author will use continuity editing techniques that will be used during the editing process. This film uses the help of video editing software in its refinement, this will also make it easier for the author to perfect the Applicative Final Project. Based on the work and the process of making an applicable short film production final project, it can be concluded that: During the process of making the short film drama "All I Want", the writer as an editor has gone through several processes ranging from pre-production, production, and post-production.
