Abstract

ABSTRAK Judul : Studi Eksperimental Pemanfaatan Limbah Bottom Ash Sebagai Subtitusi Material Aggregate Halus Pada Pembuatan Mortar Geopolimer, Penulis: Tumin, NIM 41117320027, Dosen Pembimbing : Agung Sumarno, S.T, M.T , 2021. Perkembangan teknologi dalam bidang kontruksi merupakan teknologi yang digunakan untuk membangun sarana dan prasarana. Perkembangan kontruksi terus mengalami kemajuan yang sangat pesat. Untuk mengurangi emisi CO2 (Karbon Dioksida) akibat melonjaknya produktivitas industri semen. Oleh karena itu penulis melakukan penelitian tentang pemanfaatan limbah bottom ash yang mensubtitusi sebagian material aggregate halus pada pembuatan mortar geopolimer. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan material limbah berupa fly ash PLTU Suralaya dan limbah bottom ash yang mensubtitusi aggregate halus pada pembuatan mortar geopolimer. Pada penelitian ini akan dibuat mortar geopolimer dalam bentuk kubus ukuran 5cm x 5cm x 5cm. Komposisi material digunakan perbandingan agregat halus : activator (70% : 30%) dengan variasi limbah bottom ash dengan agregat halus 0%, 10%, 15%, 30%, 50% dengan komposisi binder : activator (65% : 35%. Alkali activator dibuat dengan perbandingan Na2SiO3 : NaOH (60%:40%). Pengujian kuat tekan dilakukan dengan umur pengujian, 3hari, 7hari dan 28hari. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan hasil uji kuat tekan tertinggi diperoleh pada variasi MG-BA 0% sebesar 42.74Mpa. Dengan menggunakan limbah bottom ash 15%, 30%, 50% pada aggregate halus mengakibatkan penurunan kuat tekan dimasing-masing variasi. Penambahan limbah bottom ash juga belum mampu meningkatkan workability dan densitas mortar geopolimer. Hasil densitas tertinggi sebesar 2.26 gr/cm³ terjadi pada variasi MG-BA 0%. Penambahan bottom ash akan menaikan nilai daya serap mortar geopolimer, hasil daya serap tertinggi dengan penambahan limbah bottom ash terjadi pada variasi MG-BA 50% sebesar 2.63 %. The development of technology in the construction sector is the technology used to build facilities and infrastructure. Construction development continues to progress very rapidly. To reduce CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) emissions due to the soaring productivity of the cement industry. Therefore, the authors conducted research on the utilization of bottom ash waste which substitutes some of the fine aggregate material in the manufacture of geopolymer mortar. In this study, the waste material in the form of fly ash from PLTU Suralaya and bottom ash was used to substitute fine aggregate in the manufacture of geopolymer mortar. In this research, a geopolymer mortar will be made in the form of a cube measuring 5cm x 5cm x 5cm. The composition of the material used is the ratio of fine aggregate: activator (70%: 30%) with a variation of bottom ash waste with fine aggregate 0%, 10%, 15%, 30%, 50% with a binder composition: activator (65%: 35%. From the results of research that has been carried out, the results of the highest compressive strength test are obtained at MG-BA 0% variation of 42.74Mpa. By using bottom ash waste 15%, 30%, 50% on fine aggregate resulted in a decrease in compressive strength in each variation. The addition of bottom ash waste has not been able to increase the workability and density of the geopolymer mortar. The highest density result of 2.26 gr/cm³ occurred at MG-BA 0% variation. The addition of bottom ash will increase the absorption value of geopolymer mortar, the highest absorption results with the addition of bottom ash waste occur in the MG-BA 50% variation of 2.63%.
