Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation and discipline on employee performance. This research was conducted at PT. Cakrawala Andalas Televisi (ANTV) one of the companies engaged in the business of electronic media broadcasting nationwide largest in Indonesia. The population in this study were all employees of the Department of Operations Program, amounting to fifty people. Sampling studies using sampling techniques saturated or census, so that all members of the population used as a sample. Data on research conducted by observation, interview, literature study and questionnaire using a Likert scale, while data analysis method used is quantitative data analysis using multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed motivation and discipline of work simultaneously positive and significant influence on employee performance. Partially motivation and work discipline they are also positive and significant effect on employee performance. Where the work discipline is the most dominant variable influence on employee performance. Results of this study can be concluded that the higher motivation and work discipline which is owned by an employee, the higher the performance of employees earned by the employee. Keywords: Work Motivation, Work Discipline, Employee Performance Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi kerja dan disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PT. Cakrawala Andalas Televisi (ANTV) salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak dalam usaha media elektronik penyiaran terbesar berskala nasional di Indonesia. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua karyawan bagian Departemen Program Operation yang berjumlah lima puluh orang. Pengambilan sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh atau sensus, sehingga semua anggota populasi dijadikan sebagai sampel. Data pada penelitian dilakukan dengan pengamatan, wawancara, studi pustaka dan kuesioner menggunakan skala likert, sedangkan metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data kuantitatif dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan motivasi kerja dan disiplin kerja secara simultan berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Secara parsial motivasi kerja dan disiplin kerja keduanya juga berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Dimana disiplin kerja merupakan variabel yang paling dominan pengaruhnya terhadap kinerja karyawan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi motivasi kerja dan disiplin kerja yang dimiliki oleh seorang karyawan maka akan semakin tinggi pula kinerja karyawan yang didapat oleh seorang karyawan tersebut.
