Abstract

ABSTRAK Menurut Arifin (2014) digitalisasi sebagai bagian dari kemajuan teknologi, memberikan kesempatan bagi lahirnya internet, yang didefinisikan dalam bahasa Inggris sebagai international connection networking. Persamaan definitif tentang konsep new media memperlihatkan bahwa kekuatan dalam suatu media baru itu adalah penguasaan teknologi (terutama internet) yang dapat membawa perubahan dalam masyarakat (Junaedi, 2011: 53). Prostitusi online sekarang ini dapat dengan mudah untuk ditemui, karena hanya dengan menggunakan aplikasi media sosial para pelaku prostitusi online bisa melakukan transaksi seks. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui deskripsi, faktor pendukung, dan bagaimana pola komunikasi antara pekerja seks komersial online dengan pelanggan di Bekasi. Teori pola komunikasi sirkular digunakan pada penelitian ini karena pola komunikasi prostitusi online di Bekasi menggunakan komunikasi dengan konsep umpan balik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Kualitatif secara Studi Kasus hal ini dilakukan untuk mempelajari secara intensif tentang latar belakang keadaan sekarang dan interaksi lingkungan sebagai unit sosial. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa terdapat beberapa aplikasi yang digunakan oleh subjek dalam melakukan kegiatan tersebut antara lain : Facebook, WhatsApp, MiChat, dan Aplikasi Dating. Dari kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh seluruh subjek, mereka mengatakan bahwa komunikasi sangat penting dilakukan dalam kegiatan tersebut baik secara chatting ataupun secara langsung. Dalam penelitian tersebut, peneliti menemukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan suatu komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh beberapa subjek kepada lingkungan. The definitive similarity about the concept of new media shows that the strength in a new media is the mastery of technology (especially the internet) that can bring about changes in society (Junaedi, 2011: 53). Online prostitution can now be easily found, because only by using social media applications can online prostitution perpetrators carry out sex transactions. The purpose of this study was to find out the description, supporting factors, and how the communication patterns between online commercial sex workers and customers in Bekasi. The theory of circular communication patterns was used in this study because the communication patterns of online prostitution in Bekasi used communication with the concept of feedback. This research uses the Qualitative method in Case Studies this is carried out to study intensively about the background of the current state and the interaction of the environment as a social unit. Based on the results of the study, it was found that there were several applications used by the subjects in carrying out these activities, including: Facebook, WhatsApp, MiChat, and Dating Applications. From the activities carried out by all subjects, they said that communication is very important to be carried out in these activities either by chatting or in person.
