Abstract

Coal Reference Price (HBA) dropped from early 2012 until March 2014, coal mining contractor must perform efficiency because of the demand price is down from the customer, 4 (four) Key Performance Indicators mining contractor is K3LH (Occupational Health Safety and Environment) performance, availibility equipments, utility equipments and productivity. Performance K3LH, availibility and utilization equipments in this company has been achieved as a standard target but performance PC1250-8 Komatsu excavator productivity is still below the average of the target, so that this study focused on improving productivity performance Komatsu excavator PC 1250-8. The purpose of this study was to determine the root causes of why productivity has not been achieved, determine corrective measures and make standardization. The methodology used is lean production by observing the activities associated with the activity of Komatsu excavator PC 1250-8 and share in value added and non-value added, further activity that have no added value in reducing as much as possible, corrective measures are made standard operating . The results of this study found an increase in productivity of 7.08% from 480 bcm / hour into 514 bcm / hour. The important conclusions of this research to improve the productivity of excavator Komatsu PC1250 with lean production methods are proven to increase productivity, but after improvement have to be made standardization work steps are clear, continuous controlling and always improve the skills of human resources. Keyword : Productivity, Excavator Komatsu PC 1250-8, Lean Production Harga Batubara Acuan (HBA) turun drastis dari awal 2012 sampai dengan Maret 2014, kontraktor tambang batubara harus melakukan efesiensi karena adanya permintaan harga yang turun dari customer, 4(empat) Key Performance Indikator kontraktor penambangan adalah kinerja K3LH (Keselamatan Kesehatan Kerja dan Lingkungan Hidup), Availibility Alat, utility Alat dan produktivitas. Kinerja K3LH, avalibility alat dan utility alat di perusahaan ini sudah tercapai sesuai standar yang ditetapkan namun performa produktivitas alat gali Komatsu PC1250- 8 masih dibawah rata-rata target yang ditetapkan, sehingga penelitian ini fokus pada perbaikan kinerja produktivitas alat gali Komatsu PC 1250-8. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui akar permasalahan mengapa produktivitas belum tercapai, menentukan langkah-langkah perbaikan serta membuat standarisasi. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah lean production dengan mengamati aktivitas yang berhubungan dengan aktivitas alat gali Komatsu PC 1250-8 dan membagi dalam value added dan non value added, selanjutnya aktiviatas yang tidak mempunyai nilai tambah di kurangi semaksimal mungkin, langkah-langkah perbaikan tersebut dibuatkan standar operasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan adanya kenaikan produktivitas sebesar 7.08% dari 480 bcm/Jam menjadi 514 Bcm/Jam. kesimpulan penting dalam penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan produktivitas alat gali Komatsu PC1250 metode lean production terbukti dapat menaikkan produktivitas namun setelah perbaikan harus dibuatkan standarisasi langkah-langkah kerja yang jelas, dilakukan kontrol yang terus menerus serta selalu menaikkan skill sumber daya manusia.
