Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of profitability, asset structure, sales growth, managerial ownership, the size of the board of directors on the capital structure of consumer goods industry sector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2015-2019. This research sample includes 140 companies selected through purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using secondary data, namely the financial statements of the consumer goods industry listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2015-2019. Data analysis is performed using multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS 20. The results of the profitability study did not have a significant effect on the capital structure, the asset structure had a positive and significant effect on the capital structure, sales growth did not have a significant effect on the capital structure, managerial ownership did not have a significant effect on the capital structure, the size of the board of directors did not have a significant effect on the capital structure. Keywords: profitability, asset structure, sales growth, managerial ownership, board size, capital structure Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh profitabilitas, struktur aktiva, pertumbuhan penjualan, kepemilikan manajerial, ukuran dewan direksi terhadap struktur modal pada perusahaan manufaktur sektor industri barang konsumsi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2015-2019. Sampel penelitian ini mencakup 140 perusahaan di pilih melalui purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan data sekunder yaitu laporan keuangan industri industri barang konsumsi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2015-2019. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda dengan SPSS 20. Hasil penelitian profitabilitas tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap struktur modal, struktur aktiva berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap struktur modal, pertumbuhan penjualan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap struktur modal, kepemilikan manajerial tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap struktur modal, ukuran dewan direksi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap struktur modal.
