Abstract
The sensation seeking of cyclists is characterized by the desire to seek new experiences and adrenalinen pumping challenges. Sensation seeking in individuals is influenced by environmental factors, which explain how individuals establish relationships with other people around them or are called adult attachment styles. Sensation seeking was measured using the Indonesian Brief Sensation Seeking Scale (BSSS-I), and adult attachment style was measured using the Trent Relationship Scales Questionnaire (T-RSQ). The research design used quantitative with comparative method and demographic difference data were analyzed using Anova test. Data collection using the accidental sampling method, the respondents collected were 162 cyclists in Jabodetabek. The results showed that there was no significant difference in the level of sensation seeking in each adult attachment style, but gender and marital status had significant differences in sensation seeking. That is, the level of sensation seeking is not determined by a person's view of the attachment of social relations he has, but gender and marital relationship status distinguish the level of sensation seeking that is felt, where male subjects and unmarried subjects have higher levels of sensation seeking. Keywords: sensation seeking, adult attachment style, cyclist Pencarian sensasi pada pesepeda ditandai dengan keinginan mencari pengalaman baru dan tantangan yang memacu adrenaline. Pencarian sensasi pada individu dipengaruhi oleh faktor lingkungan, yang menjelaskan cara individu menjalin hubungan dengan orang lain disekitarnya atau disebut gaya kelekatan orang dewasa. Pencarian Sensasi diukur menggunakan Brief Sensation Seeking Scale Indonesia (BSSS-I), dan gaya kelekatan dewasa diukur menggunakan Trent Relationship Scales Questionnaire (T-RSQ). Desain penelitian menggunakan kuantitatif dengan metode komparatif dan data perbedaan demografi dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji Anova. Pengambilan data menggunakan metode accidental sampling, responden yang terkumpul berjumlah 162 pesepeda di Jabodetabek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan tingkat pencarian sensasi pada masing-masing gaya kelekatan orang dewasa, namun jenis kelamin dan status perkawinan memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap pencarian sensasi. Artinya, tingkat pencarian sensasi tidak ditentukan oleh pandangan seseorang tentang kelekatan relasi sosial yang ia miliki, namun jenis kelamin dan status hubungan pernikahan membedakan tingkat pencarian sensasi yang dirasakan, dimana subjek laki-laki dan subjek yang belum menikah memiliki tingkat pencarian sensasi yang lebih tinggi.
