Abstract

Overhead Crane is one type of crane that is widely used in work activities in the construction sector and also loading and unloading at ports. This tool can be used to lift and move loads simultaneously by hanging it freely or it can also be attached to the crane itself. At PT. A, the user of the mold storage area wants to install an overhead crane with a capacity of 10 Tons to lift molds weighing between 5-7 Tons, where the hoist set is available but the framework structure of the overhead crane does not yet exist. namely to design the girder and frame structure of the overhead crane in accordance with the required capacity and safe in operation. So it is necessary to analyze the theory and simulation using solidworks software regarding the selection and design of the girder and structure of the overhead crane framework. The results of the design of the girder and the structure of the overhead crane framework have been declared safe by using a double box girder type girder, box girder dimensions of 1224 x 600 mm with Mild Steel A36 iron plates 8 and 12 mm thick. For the runway, the I 400 x 200 x 13 x 8 mm profile iron is used, while the I 350 x 175 x 6,5 x 9 mm profile steel column is used. Keywords: Mold, Overhead crane, double box girder. Overhead Crane adalah salah satu jenis crane yang banyak digunakan dalam kegiatan pekerjaan di sektor konstruksi dan juga bongkar muat di pelabuhan. Alat ini dapat difungsikan untuk mengangkat dan memindahkan beban muatan secara bersamaan dengan cara digantungkan secara bebas atau dapat juga dikaitkan pada crane itu sendiri. Di PT. A, pihak user area storage mold menginginkan pemasangan overhead crane kapasitas 10 Ton untuk mengangkat mold dengan berat antara 5-7 Ton, dimana hoist setnya sudah tersedia namun untuk struktur kerangka dari overhead crane-nya belum ada.Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut maka tujuan dibuatnya penelitian ini yaitu untuk merancang girder dan struktur kerangka overhead crane yang sesuai dengan kapasitas kebutuhan dan aman dalam pengoperasiannya. Sehingga diperlukan analisis teori maupun simulasi menggunakan software solidworks mengenai pemilihan dan design dari girder dan struktur kerangka overhead crane tersebut. Hasil perancangan girder dan struktur kerangka overhead crane sudah dinyatakan aman dengan menggunakan girder tipe double box girder, dimensi box girder 1224 x 600 mm dengan plat besi Mild Steel A36 tebal 8 dan 12 mm. Untuk runway menggunakan besi profil I 400 x 200 x 13 x 8 mm, sedangkan column menggunakan besi profil I 350 175 x 6,5 x 9 mm. Kata Kunci: Mold, Overhead crane, double box girder.
