Abstract

This research was conducted on a group of women survivors of sexual violence. Because of the increasing number of cases of sexual violence and the group of women who are vulnerable or experience the most acts of sexual violence. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is the role of self-esteem on psychological well-being in women survivors of sexual violence. In this study using quantitative methods with simple linear regression analysis technique, sampling by accidental sampling technique, and the subjects in this study found 182 women survivors of sexual violence with a vulnerable age of 18-40 years (Mean = 23,9). The measuring instrument used for psychological well-being uses the Ryff psychological well-being and the measuring instrument for self-esteem from Rosenberg. The results showed that there was a significant positive role between self esteem and psychological well-being in women survivors of sexual violence with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). Self-esteem plays a role of 69.3% on the psychological well-being of women survivors of sexual violence. Keyword: Psychological Well-being, Self-esteem, Sexual Violence, Women. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada kelompok perempuan penyintas kekerasan seksual. Karena melihat dari jumlah kasus kekerasan seksual yang meningkat dan kelompok perempuan rentan atau paling banyak mengalami tindakan kekerasan seksual. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada peran antara self esteem terhadap psychological well being pada perempuan penyintas kekerasan seksual. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis regresi linear sederhana, pengambilan sample dengan teknik accidental sampling, serta subyek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 182 perempuan penyintas kekerasan seksual dengan usia rentan 18 – 40 tahun (Mean = 23,9). Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk psychological well being menggunakan alat ukur psychological well being Ryff serta alat ukur self esteem Rosenberg. Data dianalisis dengan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peran positif signifikan antara self esteem terhadap psychological well being pada perempuan penyintas kekerasan seksual dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05). Self esteem berperan sebesar 69,3% terhadap psychological well being pada perempuan penyintas kekerasan seksual. Kata Kunci: Perempuan, Psychological Well being, Kekerasan Seksual, Self Esteem.
