Abstract
This study aims to find out the look of stress, stressor and coping stress on transgender. This qualitative research used Case Study. Data analysis in this study used thematic analysis and was inductively coded (data driven) from qualitative data. The study was conducted on four subjects with transgender characteristics. In the data collection this research using depth interview. Questions in interviews are arranged with open nature and do not rule out the possibility of a question to be developed. Questions given to the subject include family background, their process of feeling difference inside, source of stress, and how they cope with stress. The result of this research shows four main themes, such as: stress experience, stress impact, coping to stress, and the obtained support. Keywords: stress, stressor, coping stress, transgender Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana gambaran stress, stressor dan coping stress pada transgender. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis tematik dan diberi kode secara induktif (data driven) dari data kualitatif. Penelitian dilakukan pada empat subjek yang memiliki karakteristik transgender. Dalam pengumpulan data, penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara secara mendalam. Pertanyaan dalam wawancara disusun dengan sifat terbuka dan tidak menutup kemungkinan adanya pertanyaan yang akan dikembangkan. Pertanyaan yang diberikan kepada subjek meliputi latar belakang keluarga, proses mereka merasakan perbedaan dalam diri, sumber stress, dan bagaimana mereka mengatasi masalah (coping stres). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan empat tema utama, yaitu: pengalaman stres, dampak stres, coping terhadap stres, dan dukungan yang diperoleh. Kata kunci : stres, stresor, coping stress, transgender
