Abstract

PT. A is a manufacturing industry engaged in the motorcycle tire industry sector. The company is a Joint Venture company between Indonesia and Japan. At the tire test stage at this company, it was found that the types of defects and dimensions of the tires did not match the target. The data from the examination of the type of tire defects shows Pattern Bare as many as 3 tires and Bead Crack as many as 3 tires from 10 tires made. Then take one tire for testing to assess the dimensions of the Cut Sample (Center, Point, Hump, Side, Turn Up 1P & Turn Up 2P) and Crown Sample (Cord Angle 1P, Cord Angle 2P, Driving Cord 1P & Driving Cord 2P The results of these measurements show that the results do not reach the standard for Cut Sample and Crown Sample testing. Therefore, improvements are made with Kaizen through the PDCA cycle which can show several improvement steps based on the Fishbone Diagram and 5W1H. After repairing the problem of tire defects, it becomes 2 tires. of 250 test tires. Meanwhile, after the dimensions of the Cut Sample and Crown Sample have been improved, they reach all standards. Then all the repair steps are standardized and carried out regularly. Keywords: Kaizen, PDCA, Fishbone Diagram, 5W1H, Repair. PT. A merupakan industri manufaktur yang bergerak dalam sektor industri ban motor. Perusahaan tersebut merupakan perusahaan Joint Venture antara Indonesia dan Jepang. Pada tahap uji ban di perusahaan ini ditemukan jenis cacat dan dimensi ban yang tidak sesuai target. Data hasil pemeriksaan jenis cacat ban menunjukan Pattern Bare sebanyak 3 ban dan Bead Crack sebanyak 3 ban dari 10 ban yang dibuat. Kemudian mengambil satu ban untuk dilakukan pengujian untuk menilai dimensi pada Cut Sample (Center, ¼ Point, Hump, Side, Turn Up 1P & Turn Up 2P) dan Crown Sample (Cord Angle 1P, Cord Angle 2P, Driving Cord 1P & Driving Cord 2P. Hasil pengkuran tersebut menunjukan hasil yang tidak mencapai standart pengujian dimensi Cut Sample dan Crown Sample. Maka dari itu dilakukan perbaikan dengan Kaizen melalui siklus PDCA yang dapat menunjukan beberapa langkah perbaikan berdasarkan Fishbone Diagram dan 5W1H. Setelah dilakukannya perbaikan permasalahan cacat ban menjadi 2 buah ban dari 250 ban uji coba. Sedangkan setelah dilakukan perbaikan dimensi pada Cut Sample dan Crown Sample mencapai seluruh standart. Kemudian seluruh langkah-langkah perbaikan tersebut dilakukan standarisasi dan dilakukan secara berkala. Kata Kunci : Kaizen, PDCA, Fishbone Diagram, 5W1H, Perbaikan.
