Abstract

The development of Information and Communication Technology in the current millennial era is very fast following the times. One form of sophistication in information technology is Youtube. Jess No Limit is one of the leading gaming Youtubers and influencers among game lovers. Jess No Limit's content is also content that can be watched by various ages because it is consistent in creating content, sharing knowledge, being fun, creative and innovative. This study aims to determine the perception of Mercu Buana University Digital Communication Students regarding Jess No Limit's youtube contentJess No Limit is one of the leading gaming YouTubers and influencers among game lovers. Jess No Limit's content is also content that can be watched by various ages because it is consistentin creating content, sharing knowledge, being fun, creative and innovative. This study uses the S-O-R theory by using the concept of perception is a process that is preceded by sensing, namely the process of receiving a stimulus by the individual through the senses or can be called a sensory process. However, theprocess does not just stop, but the stimulus is continued and the next process is called the perception process. The process includes sensing after the information isreceived by the senses, the information is processed and interpreted into a perfect perception. The paradigm used in this research is quantitative and uses purposive sampling method, the researcher also uses data collection techniques by distributing uniform questionnaires to each respondent. The results of this study were obtained, it is known that almost all of the respondents gave a perception of the content of Jess No Limit's youtube channel. The response from each respondent was generated because the respondents agreed with the content that provided information or knowledge and the respondents also quite agreed that this content followed the era of development in the digital industry. Keywords: Quantitative, Perception, Youtube, Descriptive Perkembangan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi di era milenial saat ini sangatlah pesat mengikuti perkembangan zaman. Salah satu bentuk kecanggihan teknologi informasi adalah Youtube. Jess No Limit adalah salah satu youtuber gaming dan influence ternama di kalangan penikmat games. Konten-konten yang dimiliki Jess No Limit juga merupakan konten yang bisa disaksikan berbagai kalangan usia karena konsisten dalam membuat konten, berbagi ilmu, seru, kreatif dan inovatif. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi Mahasiswa Digital Komunikasi Universitas Mercu Buana mengenai konten youtube Jess No Limit s Penelitian ini menggunakan teori S-O-R dengan menggunakan konsep Persepsi merupakan suatu proses yang didahului oleh pengindraan, yaitu proses diterimanya stimulus oleh individu melalui alat indra atau bisa disebut proses sensoris. Namun proses itu tidak berhenti begitu saja, melainkan stimulus tersebut diteruskan dan proses selanjutnya disebut proses persepsi. Proses tersebut mencakup pengindraan setelah informasi diterima oleh alat indra, informasi tersebut diolah dan diinterpretasikan menjadi sebuah persepsi yang sempurna. Paradigma yang di gunakan pada penelitiain ini adalah kuantitatif dan menggunakan metode purposive sampling, peneliti juga menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dengan menyebarkan kuesioner yang seragam pada setiap responden Hasil penelitian ini dapat diketahui hampir sebagian besar dari seluruh responden memberikan persepsi pada konten channel youtube Jess No Limit. Adanya respon dari tiap responden tersebut dihasilkan karena responden setuju terhadap isi konten yang memberikan informasi atau pengetahuan dan responden juga cukup setuju bahwa konten ini mengikuti era pekembangan di industri digital.
