Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that affect employee’s work satisfaction of Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Trade. The population of this study is the whole employees of Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Trade, in which 162 employees as the sample with an observation period in 2022. The endogen variable used are job motivation and job satisfaction, while the exogen variable used are organizational commitment and work environment. The data analythical method uses Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square (SEMPLS). The study shows that organizational commitment and work environment affect positively and significantly to job motivation; organizational commitment and work environment have no effect on job satisfaction; job motivation affects positively and significantly to job satisfaction; job motivation could mediate the effect of organizational commitment and work environment to job satisfaction. Keywords : organizational commitment, work environment, job motivation, job satisfaction, intervening variable, SEM-PLS Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kepuasan kerja pegawai Direktorat Jenderal Perdagangan Luar Negeri Kementerian Perdagangan. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh pegawai Direktorat Jenderal Perdagangan Luar Negeri Kementerian Perdagangan dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 162 pegawai dengan periode pengamatan tahun 2022. Variabel endogen yang digunakan adalah motivasi kerja dan kepuasan kerja, sedangkan variabel eksogen yang digunakan adalah komitmen organisasi dan lingkungan kerja. Metode analisis data menggunakan Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komitmen organisasi dan lingkungan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja; komitmen organisasi dan lingkungan kerja tidak berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan kerja; motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja; motivasi kerja mampu memediasi pengaruh komitmen organisasi dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja.
