Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission of DKI Jakarta in the migration of analog to digital systems for the period of 2021. This study uses the concept of communication media, television media as communication media, analog television to digital television, and communication strategies. The method used in this research is a case study with a qualitative approach. Data was collected by interview, observation, and documentation study. The results of this study are the role of the Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission of DKI Jakarta in the migration process from analog to digital systems, namely carrying out a process of socialization and education to the community, re-mediating television stations about infrastructure completeness, conducting campaigns both offline and online about analog switch off program, as well as going directly to the community, ensuring that people who cannot afford to get a set up box and also ensuring that the Central Government and the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta carry out a set up box procurement budget. Keywords: Role, Regional Broadcasting Commission of DKI Jakarta, migration of television stations, analog systems, digital systems. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran Komisi Penyiaran Indonesia Daerah DKI Jakarta dalam migrasi sistem analog menuju digital periode tahun 2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan konsepmedia komunikasi, media televisi sebagai media komunikasi,televisi analog menuju televisi digital, dan strategi komunikasi.Metode yang gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif.Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara,observasi,dan studi dokumentasi.Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu peran Komisi Penyiaran Indonesia Daerah DKI Jakarta di dalam proses migrasi dari sistem analog menuju digital yaitu melakukan proses sosialisasi dan edukasi terhadap masyarakat, melakukan kembali mediasi terhadapat stasiun televisi tentang kelengkapan infrastruktur, melakukan kampanye baik secara luring maupun daring tentang program analog switch off, serta terjun langsung kepada masyarakat, memastikan masyarakat yang tidak mampu agar mendapatkan set up box dan juga memastikan Pemerintah Pusat maupun Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta untuk melakukan anggaran pengadaan set up box.
