Abstract

Waste of coconut fiber (cocofiber) and ceramic shards has the potential that has not been maximally utilized. By using waste as a building material for concrete, this can contribute to environmental sustainability and make buildings that are environmentally friendly (green building concepts) and economical. This study aims to determine the extent of the influence of the compressive strength, split tensile strength, concrete absorption, and UPV Test values produced by ceramic shard waste by 25% as a substitute for coarse aggregate and coconut coir fiber as a concrete added material with variations of 0%, 0.5 %, 1% and 1.5% and which variation of concrete is the best to produce the maximum compressive strength, split tensile strength and absorption values. The research method obtained from the test results of fine aggregate, coarse aggregate, cement, water, ceramic waste, and coconut fibers that have been used to determine the calculation of the concrete mix design, then make concrete samples. Based on the test results, the highest compressive strength at the age of 28 days was found in Concrete Variation 4 (1.5% with 25% Ceramic Fraction with a compressive strength value of 32.95 MPa. Meanwhile, the lowest split tensile strength was found in normal concrete 3,31 MPa. The highest absorption results are known from variation 4 with 1.5% Coconut Coir Fiber + 30% Ceramic Fragment Waste of 0.289%. Due to the role of fiber as a barrier to creeping cracks and ceramics that can fill gaps mixture so that the pore volume of the concrete becomes small and the nature of the ceramic aggregate causes the refinement of the concrete pores by increasing the volume of the capillary pores and reducing the pores macro pores. From the calculation results, the average velocity of the concrete is 3.5-4.5 m/s. Keywords: Ceramic Shards, Coconut Fiber, Compressive Strength, Tensile Strength, Absoption, UPV Test. Limbah serat sabut kelapa (cocofiber) dan pecahan keramik memiliki potensi yang belum maksimal digunakan. Dengan mempergunakan limbah sebagai material penyusun beton maka hal ini dapat berkontribusi terhadap kelestarian lingkungan dan menjadikan bangunan yang ramah lingkungan (green building concept) dan ekonomis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh nilai kuat tekan, kuat tarik belah, absorpsi beton, dan UPV Test yang dihasilkan limbah pecahan keramik sebesar 25% sebagai subtitusi agregat kasar dan serat sabut kelapa sebagai bahan tambah beton dengan variasi 0%, 0,5%, 1% serta 1,5% dan variasi beton yang mana paling baik untuk menghasilkan nilai kuat tekan, nilai kuat tarik belah dan absorpsi hasil maksimum. Metode penelitian yang diperoleh dari hasil pengujian agregat halus, agregat kasar, semen, air, limbah keramik, dan serat serabut kelapa yang telah digunakan untuk menentukan perhitungan mix design beton, kemudian dilakukan pembuatan sampel beton. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hasil kuat tekan tertinggi pada umur 28 hari terdapat pada Beton Variasi 4 (1,5% dengan 25% Pecahan Keramik dengan nilai kuat tekan sebesar 32,95 MPa. Sementara untuk hasil kuat tarik belah paling rendah terdapat pada beton normal 3,31 MPa. Hasil absorpsi paling tinggi diketahui dari variasi 4 dengan Serat Sabut Kelapa 1,5% + Limbah Pecahan Keramik 30% sebesar 0,289%. Dikarenakan peranan serat sebagai penahan retakan yang menjalar dan keramik yang dapat mengisi celah – celah campuran sehingga volume pori beton menjadi kecil dan sifat agregat keramik menyebabkan penyempurnaan pori beton dengan meningkatan volume pori-pori kapiler dan mengurangi pori pori makro. Dari hasil perhitungan yang didapatkan rata-rata hasil velocity beton 3,5-4,5 m/s. Kata Kunci: Pecahan Keramik, Serat Sabut Kelapa, Kuat Tekan, Kuat Tarik Belah, Absorpsi, dan Tes UPV
