Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze whether there is a significant relationship between the level of Self Awareness and the fighting power of prostitutes at the Bina Karya Wanita Harapan Mulya Kedoya social institution, West Jakarta. Participants in this study were 95 respondents at the Bina Karya Wanita Harapan Mulya social institution. The measuring instrument used in this study is a modified measuring tool which is divided into two scales, namely the Self Awareness Scale by Hilapok (2017). This scale consists of 41 items, a measuring tool for fighting power by Rahmawati (2007) who writes as many as 45 items. The research method uses a quantitative design, the sampling technique uses non-probability sampling and uses a saturated sampling type. The data analysis used is correlational analysis using the Pearson product moment. The results showed that the level of Self Awareness had a negative and significant correlation with the fighting power of prostitutes at the Bina Karya Wanita Harapan Mulya social institution with a correlation magnitude of -0.420 and a sig of 0.002 or it could be said that 0.002 ≤ 0.05, which means that the relationship between the two variables is very significant. This illustrates that the higher the level of selfawareness of the respondent, the lower the fighting power. Keywords: Self Awareness, Fighting Power, prostitute women in the Bina Karya Wanita Harapan Mulya social institution ii http://digilib.mercubuana.ac.id/ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis apakah terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat Self Awareness terhadap daya juang wanita tunasusila di panti sosial Bina Karya Wanita Harapan Mulya Kedoya, Jakarta Barat. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 95 orang responden di panti sosial Bina Karya Wanita Harapan Mulya . Alat ukur yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan alat ukur modifikasi yang terbagi atas dua skala yakni Self Awareness Scale oleh Hilapok (2017). Skala ini terdiri dari 41 item, alat ukur daya juang oleh Rahmawati (2007) yang menuliskan item sebanyak 45 item. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain kuantitatif, teknik sampling menggunakan non probability sampling dan menggunakan tipe sampling jenuh. Analisa data yang digunakan adalah analisis korelasional menggunakan pearson product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat Self Awareness berkorelasi negatif dan signifikan dengan daya juang wanita tunasusila di panti sosial Bina Karya Wanita Harapan Mulya dengan besaran korelasi -0.420 dan sig sebesar 0.002 atau dapat dikatakan 0.002 ≤ 0.05 yang mengartikan bahwa hubungan antar dua variabel sangat signifikan, Hal tersebut menggambarkan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat self awereness yang dimiliki responden maka semakin rendah daya juang nya.
