Abstract
ABSTRACT This study was conducted to determine the relationship between the intensity of social media use and the anxiety of young adults during the corona virus pandemic. Subject in this research were 105 respondents, consisting of 43 male and 62 female selected using incidental sampling method. The technique of withdrawing data used quesionnaire in google form and spread by WhatsApp application. The results of the study using Pearson correlation analysis showed that the intensity of social media use was positively and significantly correlated with the anxiety of young adults during the corona virus pandemic with a correlation value of R = 0.312 and a significance value of 0,00.<0.05. Metode pengambilan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode insidental sampling dengan cara memberikan e-kuesioner dalam bentuk google form kepada responden, yang disebar menggunakan aplikasi Whatsapp. Hasil penelitian menggunakan analisis korelasi pearson menunjukkan bahwa intensitas penggunaan sosial media berkorelasi secara positif dan signifikan dengan kecemasan dewasa muda selama masa pandemi virus corona dengan nilai korelasi R= 0,312 dan nilai signifikansi 0,001< 0,05. Kata kunci : Intensitas Penggunaan Sosial Media , Kecemasan, Dewasa Muda.
