Abstract

Social support in the Covid-19 pandemic situation plays an effective role in overcoming the psychological pressure experienced by individuals during difficult times. The purpose of this study is to review various studies on social support during the Covid-19 pandemic as information about the importance of social support in the Covid-19 pandemic situation. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between social support and resilience in medical personnel in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, whether social support affects the resilience of medical personnel. This study uses a quantitative approach, with a resilience scale instrument and a social support scale. Researchers analyzed the data using the correlational method. For the resilience scale, the researchers used the Resiliency Scale (RS) measuring instrument, and for the social support scale the researchers used the Multidimensional Scale of Percived Social Support (MSPSS) measuring instrument. With the number of subjects in the study obtained as many as 135 subjects. Thus, based on data analysis conducted by researchers, it shows that there is a positive relationship between resilience and social support with the results of the correlation between the dimensions of Personal Competence (personal competence) and the dimensions of Friends being higher than the correlations of other dimensions. This shows that social support obtained from friends can increase a person's resilience. Keywords: Covid 19, Social Support, Medical Personnel.
