Abstract

Problems of glass walls that are not in accordance with existing standards can cause problems, including causing incoming light to exceed specified limits. Can even doubt in their daily activities. Therefore, the existence of this research is expected to provide a comfortable and safe design choice for the user so that it does not cause visual disturbance or comfort in daily activities. To get natural lighting in a space required large windows or glass walls of at least 1/6 of the floor area. Inserting natural light into buildings can be optimized by taking into account the orientation of the building, the shape of the building, how to enter and how to distribute light. In making access to natural light into buildings, it is important to consider the materials used, concerning the nature and character of the material in reflecting, refracting, and transmitting light. Keywords: Glass Wall, Natural Lighting, Lux Meter, Vida Fatmawati Gallery Marketing Permasalahan dinding kaca yang tidak sesuai dengan standar yang ada dapat menimbulkan masalah, diantaranya menyebabkan cahaya yang masuk melebihi batas yang ditentukan. Bahkan dapat mengganggu dalam kegiatan sehari harinya. Oleh sebab itu dengan adanya penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pilihan desain yang nyaman dan aman bagi pengguna sehingga tidak menimbulkan gangguan ataupun kenyamanan visual didalam kegiatan sehari-hari. Untuk mendapatkan pencahayaan alami pada suatu ruang diperlukan jendela-jendela yang besar ataupun dinding kaca sekurang-kurangnya 1/6 dari pada luas lantai. Memasukkan cahaya alami ke dalam bangunan dapat di optimalkan dengan memperhatikan orientasi bangunan, bentuk bangunan, cara memasukkan dan cara mendistribusikan cahaya. Dalam membuat akses cahaya alami ke dalam bangunan, perlu diperhatikan material-material yang digunakan, menyangkut sifat dan karakter bahan dalam memantulkan, membiaskan, dan meneruskan cahaya.
