Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the Meaning Making with Grief on the death of the closest person due to covid-19. The research method used is a quantitative approach. The study used 108 respondents. The sampling method used is purposive sampling, with a range of 18-48 years of age. The Means of Making Measuring Tool, namely MINE, consists of 9 items, the Grief measuring instrument, namely the Pandemic Grief Scale (PGS) consists of 5 statement items. Data was taken using a Likert scale. Analysis of the data using the Pearson Correlation technique because the data is normally distributed with a sig value > 0.05, which is 0.153. The results of this study between the Meaning Making with Grief on the death of the closest person due to Covid-19 have a correlation coefficient value of r = 0.219 with a significance value of 0.023, so it can be said that there is a relationship between the Meaning Making and Grief on the death of the closest person due to Covid-19. Keywords: Meaning Making, Grief on the death of the closest person due to covid-19 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Meaning Making dengan Grief pada kematian orang terdekat akibat covid-19. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian menggunakan 108 responden. Metode sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling, dengan rentan usia 18-48 tahun. Alat ukur Meaning Making yaitu MINE terdiri atas 9 butir pernyataan, alat ukur Grief yaitu Pandemic Grief Scale (PGS) terdiri atas 5 butir pernyataan. Data diambil dengan menggunakan skala likert. Analisa data menggunakan teknik Pearson Correlation karena data berdistribusi normal dengan nilai sig > 0,05, yaitu 0,153. Hasil penelitian ini antara Meaning Making dengan Grief pada kematian orang terdekat akibat covid-19 memiliki nilai koefisien korelasi r = 0,219 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,023, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara Meaning Making dengan Grief pada kematian orang terdekat akibat covid-19.
