Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between the intensity of the use of social media Facebook to stress on the parents of elementary school students. The research method used is a quantitative approach. The study used 120 respondents. The sampling method used is probability sampling, where the sample is taken randomly. The intensity measuring instrument consists of 12 statements with reliability of 0.840, the PSS-10 stress measuring instrument consists of 10 statements with reliability of 0.811. Data was taken using a Likert scale. Data analysis used the Spearman-Rank technique because the data were not normally distributed with a sig value <0.05, i.e 0.000. The results of this study between the intensity of Facebook social media use and stress have a correlation coefficient value of r = 0.235 with a significance value of 0.010, so it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the intensity of Facebook social media use and stress on parents of elementary school students. Keywords: Intensity of Facebook Social Media Use, Stress, Covid-19 Pandemic Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara intensitas penggunaan sosial media Facebook terhadap stres pada orang tua siswa SD. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian menggunakan 120 responden. Metode sampling yang digunakan adalah probability sampling, dimana sampel diambil secara acak. Alat ukur intensitas terdiri atas 12 butir pernyataan dengan reliabilitas 0,840, alat ukur stres PSS-10 terdiri atas 10 butir pernyataan dengan reliabilitas 0,811. Data diambil dengan menggunakan skala likert. Analisa data menggunakan teknik Rank-Spearman karena data tidak berdistribusi normal dengan nilai sig <0,05, yaitu 0,000. Hasil penelitian ini antara intensitas penggunaan sosial media Facebook dengan stres memiliki nilai koefisien korelasi r = 0,235 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,010, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara intensitas penggunaan sosial media Facebook dengan stres pada orang tua siswa SD.
