Abstract
Drug is a substance or mixture of materials to be used in determining diagnosis, preventing, reducing, eliminating, curing disease or symptoms of disease. The drug consists of an active ingredient and a pharmaceutical ingredient (excipient adjuvant). In a drug preparation can contain three to four adjuvants. Stirring in liquid-liquid systems has many roles in chemical industrial processes such as in the extraction, absorption and emulsion polymerization processes. The success of a treatment process is highly dependent on the effectiveness of stirring and mixing the liquid in the process. So a prototype of a drug mixing machine with a capacity of 500 milliliters was made which is able to work automatically. The design concept of using an electric motor as the driving force and the process of controlling the drug mixing machine can be seen from the speed control knob and the composition of the drug to be mixed. The design of a drug mixing machine based on the VDI 2222 method and tested on a laboratory scale. The analysis of the design variation of the drug mixing machine in this study was carried out to determine the best alternative design variations. There are several criteria that are taken into consideration starting from function, maintenance, manufacture, to ease of assembly. The motor power used is 1 HP with a voltage of 220 Volts, a frequency of 50 Hz, 1 phase and a torsional moment of 4770 Nmm. With the work efficiency of the engine with 1 HP motor power is 8%. Keywords: Drug mixing mixer, Paracetamol liquid, Electric motor, Mixing process Obat adalah suatu bahan atau campuran bahan untuk dipergunakan dalam menentukan diagnosis, mencegah, mengurangi, menghilangkan, menyembuhkan penyakit atau gejala penyakit. Obat terdiri dari bahan aktif dan bahan farmaseutik (bahan pembantu eksipien). Dalam suatu sediaan obat dapat mengandung tiga sampai dengan empat bahan pembantu. Pengadukan pada sistem cair-cair banyak peranannya dalam proses industri kimia seperti pada proses ekstraksi, absorpsi serta polimerisasi emulsi. Keberhasilan suatu proses pengolahan tersebut amat tergantung pada efektifnya pengadukan dan pencampuran zat cair dalam proses. Maka dibuatkan rancang bangun purwarupa mesin pencampur obat kapasitas 500 mililiter yang mampu bekerja secara otomatis. Konsep rancang bangun menggunakan motor listrik sebagai penggerak dan proses pengontrolan mesin pencampur obat dapat dilihat dari knop pengatur kecepatan dan komposisi obat yang akan di campurkan. Perancangan alat mesin pencampur obat yang dibuat berdasarkan metode VDI 2222 dan diuji cobakan pada skala laboratorium. Analisa vasiasi desain mesin pencampur obat pada penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menentukan alternatif variasi desain yang paling baik. Terdapat beberapa kriteria yang dijadikan pertimbangan mulai dari fungsi, perawatan, pembuatan, hingga kemudahan dalam perakitan. Daya motor yang digunakan 1 HP dengan tegangan 220 Volt, frewensi 50 Hz, 1 phase dan momen puntir 4770 Nmm. Dengan efisiensi kerja mesin dengan daya motor 1 HP adalah sebesar 8 %.
