Abstract

This research discusses the effectiveness of the Zoom application in meeting the organizational communication needs of workers in shipping companies undergoing WFH. This study uses the usability characteristics proposed by Nielsen to measure the effectiveness of the Zoom Cloud Meeting, including learnability, efficiency, memorability, error, and satisfaction. This study uses a survey method, and the sampling technique used is Accidental sampling with a sample of 60 respondents. The data collection technique is primary data by questionnaire and secondary data by literature study. The results obtained regarding the effectiveness of using the Zoom Cloud Meeting application as a means of organizational communication with a survey of workers working from home in an expedition service company are very effective as measured by the effectiveness variable of the zoom cloud meeting application. This is evidenced by the answers of 60 respondents, which were calculated using the Likert Summarting Rating formula with a total score of 6355. The position is located between Q3 and A or >Q3 which means that the Zoom Cloud Meeting application is very effective as a means of communication for the organization of work from home workers of the expedition service company. Keywords: Effectiveness, Social Media, Organizational Communication, Zoom Cloud Meeting, Expeditionary Company, Pandemic Pandemi Covid-19 tentunya memberikan dampak bagi semua bidang, termasuk keberlangsungan organisasi. Kegiatan organisasi yang sebelumnya dijalankan secara offline berubah menjadi online yang menyebabkan muncul sistem kerjaWFH atauWork from Home. Pekerja di perusahaan ekspedisi yang menjalani WFH menggunakan aplikasi Zoom sebagai sarana komunikasi organisasi agar roda organisasi tetap berjalan. Efektivitas sebuah aplikasi menjadi hal penting dalam komunikasi jarak jauh agar tercipta komunikasi yang efektif. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai efektivitas aplikasi Zoom dalam memenuhi kebutuhan komunikasi organisasi para pekerja di perusahaan ekspedisi yang menjalani WFH. Peneliti menggunakan karakterisitik usability yang dikemukan oleh Nielsen untuk mengukur efektivitas Zoom Cloud Meeting, yang meliputi: learnability, efficiency, memorability, error dan satisfaction. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode survey dan teknik penarikan sampel yang digunakan adalah sampling incidental dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 60 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah data primer dengan kuesioner dan data sekunder dengan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh mengenai efektivitas penggunaan aplikasi Zoom Cloud Meeting sebagai sarana komunikasi organisasi dengan survey terhadap pekerja work from home di perusahaan jasa ekspedisi adalah sangat efektif yang diukur menggunakan variable efektivitas aplikasi zoom cloud meeting. Hal ini dibuktikan dari jawaban 60 responden, yang dihitung menggunakan menggunakan rumus Likert Summarting Rating dengan total skor 6355. Posisi tersebut terletak diantara Q3 dan A atau >Q3 yang berarti aplikasi Zoom Cloud Meeting sangat efektif sebagai sarana komunikasi organisasi pekerja work from home perusahaan jasa ekspedisi.
