Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of internet addiction on social self-efficacy on students at SMA Budi Mulia Ciledug during the pandemic. The sample used in this study were 187 respondents. The data collection technique used accidental sampling technique. The social self-efficacy measurement tool uses Perceived Social Self Efficacy (PSSE) compiled by Smith and Betz (2000), with a reliability value of 0.817. The internet addiction measurement tool uses the Internet Gaming Addiction Test compiled by Hyun Cho, Min Kwon, Ji-Hye Choi, et al, with a reliability value of 0.932. All data analysis in this study used MS Excel and the SPSS version 25 program. The data analysis technique used simple regression with a Sig value of 0.004 (p < 0.05), which means that there is a significant influence between social self-efficacy and internet addiction in Budi SMA students. Mulia Ciledug with a coefficient of determination of 7.7% (Rsquare = 0.077). The results of this study indicate that the higher the level of social self-efficacy possessed by the subject, the higher the internet addiction in the subject, and vice versa. Keywords: Social Self-Efficacy, Internet Trends, Students, Pandemic Period Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adakah pengaruh social self effiacy terhadap internet addiction pada siswa SMA Budi Mulia Ciledug pada masa pandemi. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 187 responden. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Alat ukur social self efficacy menggunakan Perceived Social Self Efficacy (PSSE) yang disusun oleh Smith dan Betz (2000), dengan nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0,817. Alat ukur Internet addiction menggunakan Internet Gaming Addiction Test yang disusun oleh Hyun Cho, Min Kwon, Ji-Hye Choi, dkk, dengan nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0,932. Seluruh analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Ms.Excel dan program SPSS versi 25. Teknik analisa data menggunakan regresi sederhana dengan nilai Sig 0,004 (p < 0,05) yang artinya ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara social self efficacy dengan internet addiction pada siswa SMA Budi Mulia Ciledug dengan nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 7,7% (Rsquare = 0,077). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan semakin tinggi tingkat social self efficacy yang dimiliki oleh subjek, maka semakin rendah Internet addiction dalam diri subjek tersebut, begitu juga sebaliknya.
