Abstract
This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of educational curriculum, motivation and parenting patterns on the competence of the Banten Shipping Polytechnic Cadets. The research was conducted at the Banten Shipping Polytechnic with a research time of March 2022 to June 2022. The method used is a quantitative analysis approach through data collection techniques using questionnaires. The population studied was the 2020 Banten Shipping Polytechnic cadets with a sample of 394 respondents. The sampling method used probability sampling with simple random sampling technique. The analytical method for testing the hypothesis with the help of software SmartPLS 3.2.9. The results of the analysis show that the education curriculum, motivation and caregiver pattern have a positive and significant effect on the competence of the Banten Shipping Polytechnic Cadets. The results of the original sample show the influential factors, where the Competence of the cadets is strongly influenced by motivation. Motivation is much influenced by the encouragement of learning needs in the Parenting Pattern. It was concluded that the education curriculum, especially the competency approach, had a high relationship with the educational curriculum. The highest motivation comes from the drive and need in learning which means the cadets are motivated by the encouragement and need in learning. The pattern of caregivers, especially suggestive (this method is used to provide encouragement / support in the form of views, suggestions or advice in a more communicative and interactive atmosphere) has a high relationship with the pattern of caregivers. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui serta menganalisis pengaruh kurikulum pendidikan, motivasi dan pola pengasuh terhadap kompetensi Taruna Politeknik Pelayaran Banten. Penelitian dilakukan di Politeknik Pelayaran Banten dengan waktu penelitian selama Maret 2022 sampai dengan Juni 2022. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan analisis kuantitatif melalui teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Populasi yang diteliti adalah Taruna Politeknik Pelayaran Banten tahun 2020 dengan sampel sebanyak 394 responden. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan probability sampling dengan teknik simple random sampling. Metode analisis untuk uji hipotesis dengan bantuan software SmartPLS 3.2.9. Hasil analisis menunjukkan kurikulum pendidikan, motivasi dan pola pengasuh berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kompetensi Taruna Politeknik Pelayaran Banten. Hasil original sampel menunjukkan faktor yang berpengaruh, dimana Kompetensi Taruna sangat dipengaruhi oleh Motivasi, Motivasi banyak dipengaruhi dorongan kebutuhan belajar yang di dalam Pola Pengasuhan. Disimpulkan bahwa Kurikulum pendidikan khususnya pendekatan kompetensi memiliki hubungan yang tinggi terhadap kurikulum pendidikan. Motivasi tertinggi berasal dari dorongan dan kebutuhan dalam belajar yang berarti Taruna termotivasi dengan adanya dorongan dan kebutuhan dalam belajar. Pola pengasuh terutama sugestif (Metode ini digunakan untuk memberikan dorongan semangat/ suport dalam bentuk pandangan, saran atau nasehat dalam suasana yang lebih komunikatif dan interaktif) memiliki hubungan yang tinggi atas pola pengasuh.
