Abstract

Solok City is one of the municipalities in the province of West Sumatra, Indonesia. Solok City has a central role in supporting the economy of the people of Solok City and Regencies. Solok Raya Market is the main market in Solok City. The market location is quite strategic in the middle of the city. The conditions of traditional markets so far have been thought to be smelly, hot, wasteful, messy, dirty, cramped, etc., so they have a bad opinion about the market. Bad opinions on Traditional Markets, often make some visitors look for other alternative shopping places, including places to shop at online markets which are relatively easy to reach without the need to enter the Market. Therefore, the government chose to redesign the Solok Raya market which is comfortable, attractive, and modern through the processing of spatial, facade, and materials with a modern architectural approach. From this background, the method used is literature study and preliminary studies as theories to design support properly. And before designing, it must be analyzed first from Sun Analysis, Wind Analysis, Noise, Vegetation and others. Result: Theme : Modern Architecture. Concept: Building that prioritizes the shape of the building. This theme uses certain materials, to simplify and simplify the functionality of a building. The concept that will be taken is an open and functional floor plan, the outer walls are replaced by large glass/windows and the use of a high and wide roof. Keywords: Traditional Market, Solok, Modern Architecture Kota Solok merupakan salah satu kota madya yang berada di provinsi Sumatra Barat, Indonesia. Kota Solok memiliki peran sentral di dalam menunjang perekonomian masyarakat Kota Solok dan Kabupaten. Pasar Raya Solok merupakan pasar utama yang ada di Kota Solok. Lokasi pasar yang cukup strategis di tengah kota. Kondisi Pasar Tradisional selama ini banyak yang berfikiran terkesan bau, panas, kumuh, semerawut, kotor, sempit dan lain-lain sehingga berpendapat buruk tentang Pasar. Pendapat buruk pada Pasar Tradisional, seringkali membuat sebagian dari para pengunjung mencari alternatif tempat belanja lain, diantaranya mengalihkan tempat berbelanja ke marketplace online yang relatif mudah dijangkau tanpa perlu masuk ke Pasar. Maka dari itu pemerintah menganjurkan untuk mendesain kembali pasar raya solok yang nyaman, atraktif, dan modern melalui pengolahan tata ruang, fasad, dan pemilihan material dengan pendekatan arsitektur modern. Dari latar belakang tersebut, metode yang digunakan yaitu dengan studi literature dan studi preseden sebagai tinjauan teori-teori untuk penunjang mendesain dengan baik. Dan sebelum mendesain, harus dianalisa terlebih dahulu dari mulai Sun Analysis, Wind Analysis, Noise, Vegetation dan lain-lain. Hasilnya : Tema : Arsitektur Modern. Konsep : Bangunan yang mengutamakan bentuk bangunan. Tema ini menggunakan material tertentu, untuk menjamin kesederhanaan dan fungsionalitas sebuah bangunan. Konsep yang akan di ambil seperti denah terbuka dan fungsional, dinding luar diganti oleh kaca/jendela besar dan menggunakan atap yang tinggi dan luas.
