Abstract

This study examines the effect of capital structure (DER), asset growth (Growth), liquidity (LDR) and firm size on business risk. This study uses quantitative methods with a research sample of 26 Banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2014 to 2020. The results of this study indicate that the capital structure (DER) has no effect on business risk, meaning that the higher the capital structure, the higher the capital structure will not affect business risk. Asset growth (Growth) has no effect on business risk, meaning that when the company experiences asset growth it will not affect the company's business risk. Liquidity (LDR) has no effect on business risk, meaning that an increase or decrease in liquidity will not affect business risk. Company size (firm size) can affect the company's business risk, meaning that the larger the size of the company, the business risk will increase. Penelitian ini menguji pengaruh struktur modal (DER), pertumbuhan aset (Growth), likuiditas (LDR) dan ukuran perusahaan ( firm size) terhadap risiko bisnis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan sampel penelitian 26 Perusahaan perbankan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia selama periode 2014 hingga 2020. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa struktur modal (DER) tidak berpengaruh terhadap risiko bisnis, artinya semakin tinggi struktur modal maka semakin tinggi struktur modal tidak akan mempengaruhi risiko bisnis. Pertumbuhan aset (Growth) tidak berpengaruh terhadap risiko bisnis, artinya ketika perusahaan mengalami pertumbuhan aset tidak akan mempengaruhi risiko bisnis perusahaan. Likuiditas (LDR) tidak berpengaruh terhadap risiko bisnis, artinya peningkatan atau penurunan likuiditas tidak akan mempengaruhi risiko bisnis. Ukuran perusahaan (firm size) dapat mempengaruhi risiko bisnis perusahaan, artinya semakin besar ukuran perusahaan maka risiko bisnis akan meningkat.
