Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk memberikan informasi berupa solusi arsitektur yang bisa dimanfaatkan untuk ketersediaan basis data di lingkungan bisnis. Metode yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan(research and development). Langkah-langkah yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini meliputi analisa potensi dan masalah yang terjadi di lapangan. Dalam melakukan penelitian pembuatan solusi, data-data dikumpulkan dengan cara observasi,studi pustaka dan wawancara. Melalui metode tersebut, hasil dikumpulkan untuk menjadi bahan ujicoba . ujicoba dilakukan berkali-kali hingga mendekati titik solusi dari permasalahan yang terjadi dilapangan. Hasil dari penelitian berupa solusi arsitektur untuk digunakan dalam membangun DRC(Disaster Recovery Center) dari basis data. Pembuatan solusi arsitektur tersebut disesuaikan dengan regulasi salah satu perbankan di Indonesia untuk digunakan sebagai desain topologi dan arsitektur basis data Oracle pada sistem operasional harian. Solusi arsitektur yang dibuat berupa pembuatan konfigurasi oracle data guard dengan dua standby database dan satu primary database, dimana masing-masing database saling berkomunikasi satu sama lain melalui jaringan. Sebagai mitigasi ketika primary database dan tidak dapat diakses, primary database dapat berpindah secara cepat ke standby database yang tersedia.. Kata kunci: Oracle, Data guard, Observer, Disaster recovery, Availbillity The purpose of this research is to provide information in the form of architectural solutions that can be used for database availability in the business environment. The method used for this research is research and development. The steps taken in this research include analyzing the potential and problems that occur in the field. In conducting research on making solutions, data were collected by means of observation, literature study and interviews. Through this method, the results are collected to be tested. The trial was carried out many times to approach the solution point of the problems that occurred in the field. The result of the research is an architectural solution to be used in building a DRC (Disaster Recovery Center) from a database. The architectural solution was made in accordance with the regulations of one of the banks in Indonesia to be used as a topology design and Oracle database architecture for daily operational systems. The architectural solution is made in the form of configuration of oracle data guard with two standby databases and one primary database, where each database communicates with each other through the network. As a mitigation when the primary database cannot be accessed, the primary database can quickly move to an available standby database.
