Abstract
The plastics recycling industry in Indonesia can only fill 82% of national needs. Based on the Survey of this study, plastic recycling industries around Jakarta have a capacity of 80% of their ability. This article aims to increase production yield in failure to achieve production capacity. By investigating a plastic recycling industry in Bogor with about 320 Kg/hour production from 400 Kg/hour capacity, this study aims to improve the output at Geording Machine Line by replacing old machines, which most contributed to the failure of production yield. Production Line consists of five Work Stations (WS): WS-1, WS-2, WS-3, WS-4, and WS-5, having bottlenecks On WS-1 & WS-2 with process times 75,00 & 72,72 minutes. These bottlenecks were replaced by investing new machine through the Feasibility of Investment Analysis shown to prevent more loss in failure production yield. Then bottleneck still occurred on WS-3, with process time remaining at 64,69 Minutes. By using Visual Stream Mapping (VSM), it was successful in reducing wasting time on sub-process at WS-3. Finally, the biggest bottleneck occurred at WS-2 at 64,00 after WS-1,3,4 was improved. So the bottleneck can be reduced from 75,00 minutes to 64,00 minutes by two approaches: Feasibility of Investment Analysis & Visual Stream Mapping. Industri daur ulang plastik di Indonesia hanya mampu memenuhi 82% kebutuhan nasional. Berdasarkan Survei penelitian ini, industri daur ulang plastik di sekitar Jakarta memiliki kapasitas 80% dari kemampuannya. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil produksi dalam kegagalan mencapai kapasitas produksi. Dengan meneliti industri daur ulang plastik di Bogor dengan produksi sekitar 320 Kg/jam dari kapasitas 400 Kg/jam, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan output di Lini Mesin Geording dengan mengganti mesin lama yang paling berkontribusi terhadap kegagalan hasil produksi. Lini Produksi terdiri dari lima Work Station (WS): WS-1, WS-2, WS-3, WS-4, dan WS-5, mengalami bottleneck Pada WS-1 & WS-2 dengan waktu proses 75,00 & 72 ,72 menit. Kemacetan ini digantikan dengan menginvestasikan mesin baru melalui Analisis Kelayakan Investasi yang ditunjukkan untuk mencegah lebih banyak kerugian dalam hasil produksi yang gagal. Kemudian bottleneck masih terjadi pada WS-3, dengan waktu proses tersisa 64,69 Menit. Dengan menggunakan Visual Stream Mapping (VSM), berhasil mengurangi pemborosan waktu pada sub-proses di WS-3. Terakhir, bottleneck terbesar terjadi pada WS-2 pada 64,00 setelah WS-1,3,4 diperbaiki. Sehingga kemacetan dapat dikurangi dari 75,00 menit menjadi 64,00 menit dengan dua pendekatan: Analisis Kelayakan Investasi & Visual Stream Mapping.
