Abstract

This study aims to analyze and obtain empirical results from the effect of profitability (ROA) and liquidity (CR) on the dividend payout ratio (DPR) with leverage (DER) as an intervening variable. The sample in this study were 26 primary consumer goods sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2016-2020 period using the purposive sampling method. The data used in this study is secondary data obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (www.idx.co.id) and from the websites of each company. The analytical method used in this research is SEM PLS using SmartPLS software version 3.0 The results of this study indicate that profitability has a significant positive effect on the dividend payout ratio, liquidity and leverage have no effect on the dividend payout ratio. Profitability has no effect on leverage and liquidity has a significant negative effect on leverage. Leverage is not able to mediate the effect of profitability and liquidity on the dividend payout ratio. Keywords: Profitability, Liquidity, Leverage, Dividend Payout Ratio Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan memperoleh hasil empiris dari pengaruh profitabilitas (ROA) dan likuiditas (CR) terhadap dividend payout ratio (DPR) dengan leverage (DER) sebagai variabel intervening. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 26 perusahaan sektor barang konsumen primer yang tercatat di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2016-2020 dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder yang diperoleh dari Bursa Efek Indonesia (www.idx.co.id) dan dari situs web masing-masing perusahaan. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam peneliian ini yaitu SEM PLS dengan menggunakan software SmartPLS versi 3.0 Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa profitabilitas berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap dividend payout ratio, likuiditas dan leverage tidak berpengaruh terhadap dividend payout ratio. Profitabilitas tidak berpengaruh terhadap leverage dan likuiditas berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap leverage. Leverage tidak mampu memediasi pengaruh profitabilitas dan likuiditas terhadap dividend payout ratio. Kata Kunci: Profitabilitas, Likuiditas, Leverage, Dividend Payout Ratio
