Abstract
All of us know that company operating expenses of including which active in manufacture increasing from year to year. While tightening of emulation force them to make their price of competitive as compulsion. This matter also felt by PT Surya Technology Industri. For the reason, some efficiency step of including usage of method of failure mode of and analysis effect at activity of machine maintenance ( maintenance preventive) conducted. Research conducted perception aim to find correct conservancy technique so that activity of machine maintenance which is can add age wear component or machine. Data result of conducted perception and research will be analysis to use method of Failure Mode and Analysis Effect. From result of research can be concluded that usage of mode failure of and analysis effect at execution of activity of machine maintenance can add age wear, including economizing production process expense and time. Kita semua mengetahui bahwa biaya operasional perusahaan-perusahaan termasuk yang bergerak di bidang manufaktur terus meningkat dari tahun ke tahun. Sedangkan ketatnya persaingan memaksa mereka untuk menjadikan harga mereka kompetitif sebagai keharusan. Hal ini juga dirasakan PT. Surya Technology Industri. Oleh karenanya, beberapa langkah efisiensi termasuk pemakaian metode failure mode and effect analysis pada kegiatan pemeliharaan mesin (preventive maintenance) dilakukan. Penelitian dan pengamatan yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk menemukan teknik pemeliharaan yang tepat sehingga kegiatan pemeliharaan mesin yang dilakukan dapat menambah umur pakai mesin atau komponen suatu mesin. Data hasil dari penelitian dan pengamatan yang dilakukan akan dianalisa menggunakan metode failure mode and effect analysis. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan failure mode and effect analysis pada pelaksanaan kegiatan pemeliharaan mesin mampu menambah umur pakai, termasuk menghemat waktu dan biaya proses produksi.
