Abstract

STUDI EKSPERIMENTAL PENGGUNAAN AGREGAT KASAR BUATAN (HIDROTON) DAN FLY ASH TERHADAP KUAT TEKAN BETON RINGAN Akhmad Riva’i Ardiantoro 41117310063 ABSTRAK Dalam bidang konstruksi, beton merupakan bahan penting dalam penyusunan struktur, karena beton sangat popular dan umum digunakan untuk membangun berbagai infrastruktur dikalangan masyarakat. Kekuatan beton sangat dipengaruhi oleh komposisi material-material penyusunnya terutama agregat kasar dan halus. Beton ringan merupakan salah satu alternative yang bisa digunakan untuk berbagai macam kebutuhan dalam bidang konstruksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan agregat buatan (Hidroton) dan Fly Ash terhadap pengujian kuat tekan, Absrobsi, Density, Workability dengan menggunakan perbandingan variasi Fly Ash 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, dan 20%. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen laboratorium. Benda uji menggunakan silinder diameter 11 cm dan tinggi 21 cm. Jumlah benda uji sebanyak 60 buah, dengan masing – masing variasi sebanyak 12 benda uji untuk umur pengujian 7 hari, 14 hari, 21 hari, 28 hari. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan kuat tekan rerata beton ringan dengan menggunakan agregat buatan (Hidroton) dan Fly Ash dengan variasi campuran Fly Ash 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, dan 20% berturut – turut sebesar 16 MPa, 15.46 MPa, 13.46 MPa, 13.3 MPa, dan 12.72 MPa. Semakin tinggi pemakain variasi Fly Ash yang digunakan, maka nilai slump dan densitas yang diperoleh semakin kecil.Sebaliknya pengujian absorbsi mengalami peningkatan disetiap penambahan variasi Fly Ash. Concrete strength is strongly influenced by the composition of the constituent materials, especially coarse and fine aggregate. Lightweight concrete is one alternative that can be used for a wide variety of needs in the field of construction. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of artificial aggregate (Hidroton) and Fly Ash to test compressive strength, Absrobsi, Density, Workability using Fly Ash variation ratio of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%. This study uses laboratory experiments. The test object using a cylinder diameter of 11 cm and 21 cm. Number of test objects as much as 60 pieces, with each - each variation as much as 12 specimen for testing the age of 7 days, 14 days, 21 days, 28 days. The results showed that the average compressive strength of light concrete using artificial aggregates (Hydroton) and Fly Ash with variations of Fly Ash 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% respectively for 16 MPa, 15.46 MPa, 13.46 MPa, 13.3 MPa, and 12.72 MPa. The higher the use of Fly Ash variation is used, the slump value and density obtained are smaller. Conversely, absorption testing has increased in every addition of Fly Ash variation.
