Abstract

The spread of the Covid-19 virus in Indonesia has made the government implement policies regarding social restrictions with strict health protocols and urge companies to carry out WFH (Work From Home). At PT Bank Central Asia, it is a private banking company that implements the Work From Home system as recommended by the government by utilizing various online meeting applications as a medium of organizational communication. The purpose of this study is to find out what obstacles are in the decision-making process and the application of organizational communication that occur to employees of the Construction Management Bureau of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk during the implementation of the Work From Home system. Referring to the organizational communication concept theory from Katz & Kahn (in Pace and Paules. 2000:185) there are 5 types of information that can be communicated, namely: Information about how to do work, Information about the rationale for doing work, Information about policies and practices organization, Information about employee performance, Information to develop a sense of belonging. This research uses a case study method with the technique of collecting data through interviews while the data analysis technique uses a qualitative descriptive study. The results of this study discuss the Application of Organizational Communication of the Construction Management Bureau during the implementation of Work From Home in making decisions, there are quite a lot of obstacles and try their best to coordinate Keywords: Organizational Communication, Covid-19 Pandemic, Decision Making, Construction Management Bureau Penyebaran virus Covid-19 di Indonesia membuat pemerintah melakukan kebijakan mengenai pembatasan social dengan protocol kesehatan ketat dan menghimbau perusahaan melakukan WFH (Work From Home). Di PT Bank Central Asia merupakan perusahaan perbankan swasta yang menerapkan system Work From Home seperti anjuran pemerintah dengan memanfaatkan berbagai aplikasi rapat daring sebagai media komunikasi organisasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hambatan apa saja dalam proses pengambilan keputusan dan penerapan komunikasi organisasi yang terjadi pada karyawan Biro Manajemen Konstruksi PT Bank Central Asia Tbk selama pemberlakuan system Work From Home. Mengacu pada Komunikasi organisasi Teori Konsep dari Katz & Kahn (dalam Pace dan Paules. 2000:185) ada 5 jenis informasi yang bisa dikomunikasikan yaitu : Informasi mengenai bagaimana melakukan pekerjaan, Informasi mengenai dasar pemikiran untuk melakukan pekerjaan, Informasi mengenai kebijakan dan praktik-praktik organisasi,Informasi mengenai kinerja pegawai, Informasi untuk mengembangkan rasa memiliki tugas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan Teknik mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara sedangkan Teknik analisis data menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini membahas Penerapan Komunikasi Organisasi Biro Manajemen Konstruksi selama adanya penerapan Work From Home dalam mengambil keputusan cukup mengalami banyak hambatan dan berupaya sebaik mungkin dalam melakukan koordinasi Kata Kunci : Komunikasi Organisasi, Pandemi Covid-19, Pengambilan Keputusan, Biro Manajemen Konstruksi
