Abstract

Forecasting demand in the coming one-year period is the basis for the formulation optimization of production planning PT FPS. Where the company is a manufacturing company that produces the product freezer and showcase. Production growth rate decreased by 18.685% from 2013 to 2014 is a matter that threaten the sustainability of the company's business. Therefore, the company must make good planning production optimization, in order to perform cost efficiency. This study aims to (1) Determine the number of requests freezer and showcase products within the next year, (2) determine the optimum production planning freezer and showcase products so that the company can make the production cost minimization. Methods of data collection is done by using interviews, literature review and documentation of the company as well as field observation to determine the production process and production planning system at PT FPS. The next stage to forecast demand for the next year, based on the analysis of forecasting time series forecasting method used is the moving average. The forecasting results serve as the basis for determining planning production optimization. Production planning has reached the optimum with the requirements needed to do the planning parameters that affect, among which regular working hours, the working hours of the machine, the number of requests and the amount of inventory of finished products. So that the objective function is formulated with linear programming models to production cost minimization can be done by PT FPS. Keywords: forecasting, production optimization, linear programming. Peramalan permintaan dalam periode satu tahun mendatang merupakan dasar dalam perumusan perencanaan optimasi produksi PT FPS. Dimana perusahaan ini merupakan perusahaan manufaktur yang memproduksi produk freezer dan showcase. Angka pertumbuhan produksi yang menurun sebesar 18,685% dari tahun 2013 ke tahun 2014 merupakan suatu hal yang mengancam keberlangsungan bisnis perusahaan. Oleh karena itu, perusahaan harus melakukan perencanaan optimasi produksi yang baik, agar dapat melakukan efisiensi biaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mengetahui jumlah permintaan produk freezer dan showcase dalam satu tahun ke depan, (2) Menentukan perencanaan produksi yang optimum produk freezer dan showcase sehingga perusahaan dapat melakukan minimasi biaya produksi. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode wawancara, studi literatur dan dokumentasi yang dimiliki perusahaan serta observasi lapang untuk mengetahui proses produksi dan sistem perencanaan produksi pada PT FPS. Tahap selanjutnya melakukan peramalan permintaan selama satu tahun ke depan, berdasarkan hasil analisis peramalan time series metode peramalan yang digunakan adalah moving average. Hasil peramalan tersebut dijadikan sebagai dasar penentuan perencanaan optimasi produksi. Perencanaan produksi telah mencapai optimum dengan persyaratan perlu dilakukannya perencanaan parameter-parameter yang mempengaruhi, diantaranya yaitu jam kerja reguler, jam kerja mesin, jumlah permintaan, dan jumlah persediaan produk jadi. Sehingga fungsi tujuan yang diformulasikan dengan model linear programming untuk melakukan minimasi biaya produksi dapat dilakukan oleh PT FPS.
