Abstract

ABSTRACT Laboratory of Microbiology was instrumental in the analysis of the sample water. The role of analysts in this process played an important role. This is because the analysis process is done in a conventional basis so that the required level of precision and the high speed of the analyst. Analysis of motion and time needed to be able to minimize the movement in effective work so it would be obtained the optimal working time. Improved analysis analysts in addition to motion and time study also relates to the physical environment of work. The purpose of this research is (1) Analyze study motion in water samples in analyzing PT. MCI (2) Analyzes the working time standards in analyzing samples of water in PT. MCI (3) Identifying factors that can increase the productivity of workers, particularly in the Microbiology Laboratory at PT. MCI. The type of data used for this study include primary data and secondary data. The recording includes all primary data analysis process, measurement, data logging as well as interviews with supervisors in Microbiology Laboratory PT. MCI while these secondary data collection is obtained from the study of literature, journals, and the data or document belonging to the company. Processing of data in this study using data uniformity test, the adequacy of the data, and the standard time calculation software with the help of Excel 2007. The results showed that movement on the process analysis of samples of water Microbiology at PT. MCI consists of 7 of which hold the Therblig movement, directing, directing a while, bring, take off, wear, and examination. Omission of such movements can provide time savings in the 180 test tube for sample 6 BAP medium for 7 minutes. The raw time obtained in the analysis of a sample of Microbiology in PT. MCI lot 111.62 seconds/tube with allowance amounting to 23%. If during 1 (one) month Microbiology Laboratory PT. MCI analysis of samples of water 20 times (20 worked days), then the savings that can be made is of 140 minutes or 2 hours 20 minutes. Key word : Analysis of motion and time study
