Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of loneliness and emotional intelligence on psychological adjustment in students. The subjects of this study were students of Mercu Buana Meruya Faculty of Psychology with 187 respondents. The research design used in this study used multiple linear regression with accidental sampling technique. The measuring instruments used in this research are UCLA Loneliness Scale version 3, Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS) and PAS (Psychological Adjustment Scale). Data analysis in this study used the SPSS 23 program. This study showed that loneliness had a negative effect on psychological adjustment and also showed that emotional intelligence had a positive effect on psychological adjustment. Kata Kunci: Loneliness, Emotional Intelligence, Psychological Adjustment, College Student Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kesepian dan kecerdasan emosional terhadap penyesuaian psikologis pada mahasiswa. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa Mercu Buana Meruya Fakultas Psikologi dengan 187 jumlah responden. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan regresi linear berganda dengan teknik accidental sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu UCLA Loneliness Scale version 3, Wong and Law Emotional Intellegence Scale (WLEIS) dan PAS (Psychological Adjustment Scale). Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan program SPSS 23. Penelitian ini menunjukan hasil bahwa kesepian berpengaruh negatif terhadap penyesuaian psikologis dan juga menunjukan hasil bahwa kecerdasan emosional berpengaruh positif terhadap penyesuaian psikologis.
