Abstract

ABSTRACTION In the development of computer technology there is one system that is currently growing and dominate the world of computer technology, that system is a web application. The development of web applications own benefits itself to simplify the various things in our life, one of them is the field of work related to trading. UD. Baradja Sembako is known as sales agent of food groceries. At this time their cashiers in doing sales still use manual transaction system. The solution for this problem is to make a web-based application, Point of Sale on UD. Baradja Sembako. The method used in this system development is waterfall method, the methods that is more to approach to systematic and sequential software development. Which starts at the stage of collection system requirements, design, implementation, testing and system maintenance. In this case the system design is using PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) as a programming language and the database design is using MySQL. After the designing and manufacturing of web-based application, “Point of Sale” on UD. Baradja Sembako is expected their cashiers can make sales transactions to customers easily, effectively, efficiently and certainly improve their performance in terms of sales. Keywords : cashier, sales transactions, web application, point of sale, php, mysql ABSTRAKSI Dalam perkembangan teknologi komputer terdapat salah satu sistem yang saat ini semakin berkembang dan mendominasi dunia teknologi komputer, sistem tersebut adalah sebuah aplikasi web. Perkembangan aplikasi web sendiri manfaatnya adalah mempermudah pada berbagai hal dalam kehidupan kita, salah satunya bidang pekerjaan yang berhubungan dengan perdagangan. UD. Baradja Sembako dikenal sebagai agen penjualan kebutuhan pokok atau sembako. Pada saat ini kasir mereka dalam melakukan penjualannya masih menggunakan sistem transaksi manual. Wujud dari penyelesaian masalah ini adalah membuat Aplikasi Transaksi Penjualan “Point of Sale” Pada UD. Baradja Sembako Berbasis Web. Metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan adalah metode Waterfall, metode yang lebih kepada pendekatan pada perkembangan perangkat lunak yang sistematik dan sekuensial, yang mulai pada tahap mengumpulkan kebutuhan sistem, desain, implementasi, pengujian dan pemeliharaan sistem. Pada kasus ini perancangan sistem menggunakan PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) sebagai bahasa pemrograman dan perancangan database menggunakan MySQL. Setelah perancangan dan pembuatan Aplikasi Transaksi Penjualan Penjualan ”Point of Sale” Pada UD. Baradja Sembako Berbasis Web ini diharapkan kasir mereka dapat melakukan transaksi penjualan ke pelanggan dengan mudah, efektif, efisien dan tentunya meningkatkan kinerja mereka dalam hal penjualan.
