Abstract

DESIGN OF WEBTOON DIGITAL ONLINE COMIC “RENDEZVOUS” ROMANTIC GENRE Written Project Report Study Programs Product Design Mercu Buana University Bekasi, 2017 By Isyani Dewi 41913310021 ABSTRACT Webtoon is a digital-based comic that aims to provide ease in reading and enjoying comics in the form of applications. The design aims to explain the relationship between the intrinsic and extrinsic elements of the reader's interest, and to explain how the process of creating a romantic genre webtoon based on design elements, from script stage, storyboard stage, sketching phase, lineart / ink stage, and coloring test stage. As well as describing the support tools used in creating Webtoon. The design is also presented using qualitative methods by collecting primary data from books and journals, as well as secondary data from several online sources through ebook to find out more information about webtoon comic design called Rendezvous. The benefits of this design is to give explanations to the public about the process of making a romantic genre webtoon and also provide comprehensive information about the webtoon as well as provide inspiration for the designers in the work. Perancangan bertujuan untuk menjelaskan hubungan antara unsur intrinsik dan ekstrinsik terhadap minat pembaca, serta untuk menjelaskan bagaimana proses pembuatan webtoon genre romantis berdasarkan elemenelemen desain, mulai dari tahap script, tahap storyboard, tahap sketsa, tahap lineart/ink, dan tahap test coloring. Serta menjelaskan alat – alat pendukung yang digunakan dalam membuat Webtoon. Perancangan ini juga dipaparkan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan melakukan pengumpulan data primer dari buku dan jurnal, serta data sekunder dari beberapa sumber online melalui ebook untuk mengetahui informasi lebih dalam mengenai perancangan komik webtoon berjudul Rendezvous. Manfaat dari perancangan ini adalah dapat memberi penjelasan kepada masyarakat mengenai proses pembuatan webtoon genre romantis dan juga memberikan informasi lengkap tentang webtoon serta memberikan inspirasi untuk para komikus dalam berkarya.
