Abstract

DESIGN THE STORY OF FOLKLORE REMBANG WITH PAPERSCULPTURE Written Project Report Study Program Product Design Department of Graphic Design and Multimedia Universitas Mercu Buana Jakarta, 2017 by : Firdha Syavira Asrini ABSTRACT In choosing a story book a fairy tale reader is often the first thing to see a book cover or cover of a book. Cover or cover of a book is the front page of a book. In a book cover contains sections consisting of: book title, author name, publisher, and illustration. The designer saw this rembang folklore less interesting than the cover of the book illustration on the cover of the book does not match the intended readers, namely children aged 5 years. The purpose of the development of this rembang folklore book is: 1) the purpose suggests that the lack of interest of children aged 5 years to read textbooks in addition to the text, illustrations in it also influences the interest to read and also develop the paper art where in addition to this art decoration Can give an interesting impression on this folklore book. 2) the benefits of this development in addition to improving reading in children aged 5 years, can also find out various stories typical of rembang. PERANCANGAN BUKU CERITA RAKYAT REMBANG DENGAN PAPERSCULPTURE Pertanggungjawaban Tertulis Program Studi Desain Produk Jurusan Desain Grafis dan Multimedia Universitas Mercu Buana Jakarta, 2017 Oleh : Firdha Syavira Asrini ABSTRAK Dalam memilih suatu buku cerita dongeng pembaca sering kali hal pertama untuk melihat suatu buku yaitu cover atau sampul buku. Cover atau sampul buku merupakan halaman depan dari suatu buku. Dalam suatu sampul buku memuat bagian- bagian yang terdiri dari : judul buku, nama pengarang, penerbit, dan ilustrasi . perancang melihat buku cerita rakyat rembang ini kurang begitu menarik dari sampul buku dikarnakan ilustrasi pada sampul buku tidak sesuai dengan pembaca yang dituju, yaitu anak usia 5 tahun. Maksud dari pengembangan buku cerita rakyat rembang ini yaitu : 1) tujuannya mengemukakan bahwa kurangnya minat anak usia 5 tahun ke atas untuk membaca buku cerita selain pada teks, ilustrasi yang didalamnya juga berpengaruh minat untuk membaca dan juga mengembangkan seni kertas dimana selain untuk hiasan seni ini dapat memberikan kesan menarik pada buku cerita rakyat ini. 2) manfaat pada pengembangan ini selain meningkatkan membaca pada anak usia 5 tahun ke atas, juga dapat mengetahui berbagai cerita-cerita khas daerah rembang. Kata Kunci : Buku, Cerita Daerah, Sampul, Ilustrasi, usia 5 tahun ke atas.
