Abstract

Karang Tengah Subdistrict, Tangerang as the object of research because the official website of this sub-district has rarely been updated so that residents find it difficult to obtain news and information available, resulting in many residents who do not know what news or events are happening. With this website it is hoped that citizens can broaden their horizons, know the news that is happening in their area and can comment on related news. District Administrators can also quickly and easily publish information. Therefore, the author tries to build a web-based online news application that is expected to provide convenience for the public to obtain various information and the latest news about their area. This website is designed using the PHP programming language with a codeigniter framework, and MySQL as a database. The design method for developing the system used is throwaway prototyping and SWOT and PIECES analysis methods. Keywords: Information, News, Sub-district, Online, Websites, Kecamatan Karang Tengah, Tangerang sebagai objek penelitian dikarenakan website resmi kecamatan ini sudah jarang di-update sehingga warga sulit untuk memperoleh berita dan informasi yang ada, mengakibatkan warga banyak yang tidak tahu berita atau peristiwa apa yang terjadi. Dengan adanya website ini bertujuan agar warga dapat memperluas wawasan, mengetahui berita yang terjadi di daerahnya serta dapat berkomentar mengenai berita terkait. Pengurus Kecamatan pun dapat dengan cepat dan mudah untuk mempublikasikan informasi. Oleh sebab itu penulis mencoba membangun aplikasi berita online berbasis web yang diharapkan dapat memberikan kemudahan bagi masyarakat untuk memperoleh berbagai informasi dan berita terbaru seputar daerahnya. Website ini dirancang menggunakan Bahasa pemograman PHP dengan framework codeigniter, dan MySQL sebagai database. Metode perancangan untuk pengembangan sistemnya yang digunakan yaitu throwaway prototyping serta metode analisis SWOT dan PIECES. Kata kunci: Informasi, Berita, Kecamatan, Online, Website
