Abstract
There are various reasons and considerations that underlie travelers to the choice of transportation mode, where the choice of mode itself can be interpreted by the number of people in choosing each alternative choice. The purpose of this mode selection analysis research is to observe the behavior of travellers who use the Transjakarta public transportation mode and the Tangerang-Jakarta Commuter Line route so that it is known the factors that can influence travellers in choosing the mode of transportation, to obtain a model of choosing a suitable mode of transportation. can explain the proportion of the number of travelers in choosing a mode of Transjakarta and Commuter Line based on the variables studied. The Stated Preference technique is used to obtain data regarding the willingness of passengers to change modes. Questionnaires were distributed in several places at stations and bus stops in the Tangerang area. The number of respondents who were taken to represent the required population were 383 respondents. The analysis used is linear regression analysis and the mode selection model used the binary logit difference model. The results of the analysis of the binary logit model of mode selection with the variables of cost difference, travel time and waiting time for the fleet. Based on the results of the mode selection analysis that has been carried out with the binary logit difference model, the difference in the utility function between the Commuter Line and Transjakarta (UTJ-UCL) = 1.109 + 0.0027.X1 - 0.036.X2 + 0.011.X3. Where the test results show that the proportion of Commuter Line mode selection is greater in the travel time and fleet waiting time variables compared to Transjakarta.
