Abstract
Equipment performance is vital to the company's productivity to face market competition. As first step to increase productivity of the machine is set production machine performance measurement, in order to determined actual condition of the equipment. OEE is the important KPI of TPM that used to evaluate performance and productivity of the equipment. OEE is a performance measurement method that has been proven effective and applied by many manufacturing industries. This study will evaluate the performance of Extruder machine in the insulation process of cable manufacturing by using OEE,afterward identify losses that occur based on the category of the Six Big Losses. The results of the OEE measurement will be compared with the Standard World Class Manufacturing. To eliminate losses that occur, using Pareto method to determining which the priority losses, and then using the Cause and Effect Diagrammethod to search for cause of the problem, then use the Root Cause and Failure Analysis (why-why) method so that losses can be eliminated from the root cause of losses that occur. The results showed, the value of OEE on the machine has not met the standard of World Class Manufacturing. The biggest factor affecting low value of the OEE is efficiency and availability, caused by the operating speed of the machine which do not reach target and need long duration for change-over process. The root of the problem which is derived from the losses are supply does not match quality standards, pass line unstable and breakdown of the machine parts. Suggestions to improvement obtained are improving the quality previous process, the addition of tools on the pass line and improve preventive maintenance and autonomous maintenance activity. Keyword :Performance Measurement, OEE, Six Big Losses, Pareto Diagram, Cause and effect diagram, Root Cause and failure analysis.Kinerja mesin berperan penting terhadap produktivitas perusahaan dalam menghadapi persaingan pasar industri. Sebagai langkah awal dalam peningkatan produktifitas mesin adalah menetapkan pengukuran kinerja mesin produksi, untuk mengetahui kondisi aktual mesin. OEE adalah KPI penting dari TPM yang digunakan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja dan produktivitas mesin. OEE merupakan metode pengukuran kinerja yang telah terbukti efektif dan telah diterapkan oleh banyak industri manufaktur. Penelitian ini akan mengevaluasi kinerja mesin Extruder pada proses insulation di manufaktur kabel dengan menggunakan OEE lalu mengidentifikasi kerugian-kerugian yang terjadi berdasarkan kategori Six Big Losses. Hasil dari pengukuran OEE akan dibandingkan dengan Standard World Class Manufacturing. Untuk mengeleminasi losses yang terjadi, menggunakan metode pareto dalam menetapkan losses manakah yang menjadi prioritas, serta menggunakan metode Cause and Effect Diagram dalam pencarian penyebab masalah, setelah itu menggunakan Root Cause and Failure Analysis (why-why) sehingga losses dapat dieliminasi dari akar penyebab losses itu terjadi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan, nilai OEE pada mesin tersebut belum memenuhi Standard World Class Manufacturing. Faktor terbesar yang mempengaruhi rendahnya nilai OEE adalah pada faktor efisiensi dan availability, disebabkan oleh kecepatan operasi mesin yang tidak mencapai target dan durasi yang lama pada proses change-over. Akar masalah yang didapat dari losses tersebut meliputi supply yang tidak sesuai standar kualitas, pass line yang tidak stabil, dan kerusakan yang terjadi pada part mesin. Saran perbaikan yang didapat adalah mengeliminasi losses dengan meningkatkan kualitas pada hasil proses sebelumnya, penambahan tools pada pass line dan meningkatkan kegiatan preventive maintenance dan autonomous maintenance.
